be aware that there is a very big mold problem at this property. They have used tremendous amounts of chemicals to try and get rid of the problem, so you can smell those too.

It's true about the mold. It's a major problem so much so that the resort is now in the process of renting out some of the apartments to locals because they are having a difficult time selling them with the smell

Does anyone have any current info on mold problems at Royal Islander club La Terrassa?

In regards to the past mold scare in La Terrasse... The units have been updated with dehumidifiers that automatically drain themselves. These units and the air conditioning units are being serviced accordingly. Our unit was purchases a few years ago and there are no mold issues. The building as a whole has had many updates in this regard. They've added air conditioning in the halls on every floor which also helps to keep the heat and moisture out. There is no mold smell or mold seen at all through out the building since we've been staying there. The old review postings from years ago, in regards to the mold at La Terrasse is now null and void as there are no longer an issue with mold that we can see or smell.
