Beware before booking a stay here. My family and I recently spent a week there. The hotel/resort as a whole has not been well maintained. The room had ants and the couch had a foul smell that made it impossible to sit on. Sadly this wasn't the worst part of our stay. On Friday night the resort was taken over by a large group of college students that were part of a fraternity. I watched in complete shock as boxes of alcohol were carried into rooms by people who were not 21 yrs old. We arrived back at the resort @ 8pm after going out to dinner to find a young girl all dressed up but not wearing any shoes being escorted up the stairs by two other girls. This young woman was so drunk she couldn't stand on her own. My 7 yr old wanted to know why that girl was behaving that way. What do you tell a 7yr old???? Even though the group was supposed to be at a dinner from 7-11pm the hallways were filled with these guys drinking and partying at 8pm. I went downstairs and spoke to the manager on duty. He explained to me that 8pm was still a little early to ask them to quiet down but assured me that the expectation of them behaving responsibly was already explained to them. He also told me they had hired 4 additional security guards for that night. The night only got worse from there. We had a 2yr old that was awake from 11pm to 4:30am. A 5 yr old that woke up everytime someone knocked on our door in error or someone screamed in the hallway (which happened quite frequently) and a 7yr old who was awake throughout the night and kept a bed sheet pulled over her head because she knew they were smoking in the hallways and was afraid the smoke would come into our room and cause her to have an asthma attack. I was in contact with the manager throughout the night who assured me he "was doing the best he could" and had every thing under control. Around 2am I was advised the police had been called out to the resort and around 3:30 I called them myself to come back. No one found sleep that night until about 5:30am. The next morning when I spoke to Ed Peterson the day manager of the resort I was told that it is all about making money and these kids filled the resort for them. They didn't care if we were kept up all night and that he didn't feel he owed us anything because of that. He told me there was no one above him and that even if I filed a complaint with Interval he would be the one to respond and he could answer it anyway he liked. He also doesn't care if I post negative reviews of the place because according to him people lie on the internet all the time. Well the info is on file with the White Haven Police Dept, since they were dispatched out to the resort several times that night. I would never spend another night in that place nor would I let anyone I cared about spend a night there.

i would suggest tanglwood resort. The ski slope is open and the resort is organized as condo's in a town house layout. I guess could be a problem if you rent a one bedroom below a two but the buildings are really quiet. I posted a review of tanglwood and have a home in Tanglwood north community e-mail me at tewplanman@yahoo.com if you want more info
