We love it here. Have stayed twice. It is clean - VERY roomy and quite private. When we first saw pictures we were leary but were pleasantly surprised and would stay again (in fact request this resort) in a heart beat. We love the location and the people . We just got back May 27. Best to get a ground floor so you can just hop into the pool - but the whole complex is just very homey. Try it!!!!

By the way - If you want some favorite places to eat (we go down with another couple) I'd be golad to tell you of a few of our tried and true! We have been going down every spring and fall for 5 yrs now.

How close is this to Los Conseulos Terraza. We like to be close enough to walk to the downtown happenings and yes, always like to hear your favorite eats

Thanks, Lisa

Have not heard of Los Conseulos Terraza. This complex isn't really w/in walking distance to downtown but we find it more convenient and centrally located than many others. It is a small complex so doesn't feel so much like a "resort" but more like home. Our favorite restaurants are: 1. "The Right Bank" ( due to a dispute is also referred to as "The Left Bank") It's in Rancho Mirage - but worth the drive !!! Their dinners during off season are 2 for 1 but our favorite meal here is their Sunday Brunch. It is fantastic, with all you want champagne, juices, etc. It is off a menu and quite gourmet but priced VERY reasonably! Their wait staff are excellent and have worked there for years. We never miss this one. 2. "The Cedar Creek Inn" Probably our FAVORITE. We go there every Fri & Sat night. They have a father-daughter duo that sings broad way tunes and are unbelievably talented. Don't eat in the restaurant area (expensive) but go to the lounge. It is very quaint and great happy hour drink/food prices. Everything we've ever eaten there is delicious and cheap too. Look for their add in flyers in visitor areas. Don't miss the entertainment tho!!! For best results call for reservations and hours/days of music. Their martini's are wonderful (chocolate and lemon drops are our favorite) - order them "up" and get them basically 2 for 1 at I believe only $4-5 ! All happy hour items are excellent - check out their menu for all pricing - can be a little complex. 3. "The Saucebox". Again - it's the happy hour that's the best pricing. It's in the bar - outside. Food is generous and well priced. Little $1 hamburgers are really great as well as everything else on menu - Exc pizza. From what we hear you can bring your own bottle of wine here and not be charged a corkage fee! Smoke here bothered us but we tried to ignore it because of the food - is ok in Palm S. to smoke outside evidently ? :( 4. "Ruby's Diner" just a 70's diner, but great variety of burgers. There are 2 of these in town. 5. "The Elephant Bar" well known and quite popular - good Long Island's and good bar food (again during happy hour) We like their lettuce wraps here. Go early for a table in bar area to get H hour prices. If you go to any of these let us know your opinion! Also send us your finds.
