Summer Bay Resort for Sale

I have a 3 bedroom lockout every other year. I would like to sell it for what I paid for it.

Summer Bay is now selling their new buildings for $25,000. I would be pleased to get back my original investment($12,500).

Has anyone sold their timeshares on this bulletin board EVER.

Any info would be appreciated.

Many of the timeshares you see for sale on Redweek are enormously overpriced. Timeshares simply do not fetch anywhere near their original selling price at resale (with the possible exception of Disney or Marriott properties, which might fetch half). What you see is owners (who set their selling prices) being unrealistic. My guess is that they all drop their prices eventually, unless they are really lucky and find a naive buyer.

Two and three bedroom annual units at Summer Bay, for example, frequently go for less than $1000 on eBay. I wouldn't hold your breath for $12,500. You'll likely never get it, especially here, where there are more realistically priced units. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
