williamsburg and westgate

We're thinking of coming down in early Nov. with our dog. Has anyone brought their dog with them here and what are some things/places that are dog friendly...outside activities/ restaurants..? Any ideas or suggestions would help. How welcome does Westgate make you feel if there is a dog? Thanks
