Kapa'a Shore amenities

Nov 13, 2009

Have stayed here 3 times and your listing is incorrect. There are ZERO - NONE - NO elevators at Kapa'a Shore. 2 bedroom units are on the 3rd floor and that means 3 flights of stairs. Like I said we have done it 3 times and every time we have had to climb stairs. This includes the 2nd floor too. We did check at the desk and they sent us 2 very strong young men to get our supplies upstairs and they got a good tip too!

That being said, we would stay here again and again if we could.

This rersort has 3 buildings. A - B and C. A Bldg sits horizontal to the ocean with an expanse of lawn between. Building B also sits horizontal to the ocean with the pool, BBQ and grounds in between. Building C sits perpendicular to the ocean at a slight angle. All rooms can see the ocean and this bldg overlooks the end of the pool and the hot tub area and the beautifully maintained grounds.

We have stayed in Bldg B one time and C twice. We much prefer C and ask for it when we book our timeshare. There is no direct sun on the lanai making it much nicer to sit out there at any time of the day. As this resort is on the sunrise side of the island, once the sun comes up, the lanai gets really hot, as does the living room. We had to close the drapes around 8:30 each morning to keep the room cool. As there is no air conditioning, this was important to us. In the C building, we kept the drapes open all day and with the slider open and windows in the back open we got a great cross breeze all day.

Edited to add comments on pictures down the right side: Picture 1 is Building A, picture 5 is taken from near the ocean and Bldg B is on the left and Bldg C is beyond the pool at the top of the picture, picture 6 is the view from Bldg. B and picture 7 is the view from bldg, C, picture 8 is NOT the beach at Kapa'a Shore. You can actually see the lava shelf in front of the resort in picture 7.

LOVE IT HERE!

Thank you for letting us know there are no elevators at this resort. This has been corrected on the resort page.

Thanks again, Marty
