THEY CAN NOT AND HAVE NOT MADE ANY INFLUENCE ON THE BELAIRE. DON'T GIVE THEM ANOTHER DIME. DON'T BE LURED IN BY OFFERS THAT CAUSE YOU TO GIVE MORE MONEY TO THEM OR UPGRADE.

i just bought into the now called HotelU formerly Belaire I feel it is also a scam. Did this in Dec 2011. And I was very concerned from the different lies I received from the sales mgr. I am contacting my credit card company, to see if can retrieve my $8600.00. My receipt is for US dollars. Also. their paper work claims the mailing address is Resorts International Foundation on Albatros which was where the presentation and the steel frame is still as it was under the Belaire. Total scam. i will never purchase anything again in a Mexico again.eloise

reference to my previous msg. The new name is Hotel U Golf and Resort. I think I will try to research and maybe contact the Mexican Consulate to see what can be done. I caught the sales manager in so many lies. He told me he made a reservation for me for Dec 2012 at the Venetian-which are private condos in Puerto Vallarta. He was renting there and has now moved on. I believe he lives out of his car and moves from place to place. . My paperworks shows Resorts International Foundation. There is no such company on the web. the 800 numbers do not work either. what a scam. I met a Canadian woman who bought the Bellaire five years ago. I would like to form a group and seek legal Justice..eloise

I just fell for the scam in Dec 2011. Contacting my credit card company. They sure put on bunch of bull, telling you all these lies and the contract says is is all inclusive for all weeks. I am contacting my credit card company. THis new company Hotel U makes up some fancy ppr work on a computer telling you the place will be finished by 12/5/2011 and will have a casino on the bottom floor. No way would a casino be built in a residential area.eloise

Hi, again. I just wanted you to know the sales manager at the hotel U name is Cesar Alvarez and he also uses his cell phone. Guess what his email address is?? sofakingnow. He sure is. And what a Liar. I caught him in so many lies. I do not even think the HotelU's email works.. Heard from a member when I was there in Dec, 2011 that the ower of the Belaire is well and live and working in Nuevo Vallarta on another scam. Did not get a chance to talk to this family, as the scam team ran me out of the place. I should have waited outside of the place. They were from Ct in the states, I did not get their name. eloise

Congradulations, you have joined the club of over 1000 members who have been taken by this group for millions of dollars. Go to your credit card company and do anything to get out of this contract. Keep in contact.

Everyone needs to make as many comments on the Internet about these crooks as possible. This may prevent any other poor soul who gets caught up in their web of lies. Rip Off Report.com is a good place to start. Face Book is probably the best place to post comments and warn others who may be planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta. The more posts to that site the more exposure it will get across the Internet. You probably will never see your money again but at least you might help someone else. Also, contact your credit card company and put in a fraud alert. They will post it on their caution lists. At some point if there are enough complaints they will cancel any payment functions to their company. Contact your local politicians to put pressure on Mexican government representatives. If Visitors to Mexico continue to get ripped off they should stay away and that will hurt the Government and intern they may start to do something about these kind of crooks.

It's really a shame that this kind of thing goes on in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful place and the locals are wonderful people. It's to bad that scum rip off artists like these jerks are allowed to operate and ruin a visitors experience.

Have you heard or received any money.we were also contacted 1 1/2 year ago and still we did not receive any money now they are asking for more money to transfer the property from belaire to hotel u. Allan Dale is involved

When will this ever end? I just hope that you did not give them any money last year. Please think twice about giving them any more money. Who is Allan Dale? I visited last year and I never saw him. I have an appointment in a week and a half and will inquire then. Wish I could be more helpful.

If your meeting with Belaire next week be sure to leave your wallet at home and count your fingers and toes before going. THIS IS A SCAM AND THERE IS NO HOPE OF EVER SEEING YOUR MONEY!! Walk away and do not listen to their BS. These crooks have no intention of ever finishing the building and because the Mexican Government will do nothing they will continue to prey on unsuspecting tourists. The best way to get to these crooks is tell everyone you know not to go to Puerto Vallarta. If folks think they could be robbed or taken advantage of while on vacation they may want to go somewhere else. Take the tourist dollars out of Puerto Vallarta and maybe the Government will start to do something about crooks like these. Hit them where it hurts ...in their wallets.

Can't wait to hear how your appointment goes! They stated in their first Hotel U Newsletter that they would honor all of our contracts. I'm really trying to 'believe'. So when can we begin booking at the new property??? Or book at the other option on the malecon...at NO extra charge as a courtesy due to their delay!

I fought my credit card company for over a year and lost. It is so sickening that these people are still getting away with staling from unsuspecting people. Do not give them on dime more. They tried to bully me into more money and the guy (I can't remember his name) actually got snotty with me and hung up when I told him I would not give them any more money. I can't believe the Mexican government would allow this to continue to happen. We were ripped off over 4 years ago and still feeling the financial pain! Something needs to be done!!!!

I wish to report of my visit to Belaire/U Hotel that I went to this week. I arrived the day before and while speaking to the guard a young lady walked up. She told me she had been interviewed for a job as a receptionist by a Mr Capella and even showed me his calling card which read John Anthony Capella. Sounds so similiar to Antonio Copela. This man card said that he was in the entertainment business in Mexico City. I arrived the next day and was met by a young man. He told me the boss was being held up as he had to take his wife to her mother's house. He took me into the resturant area and after discussing the ducks and alligator I asked him if they are doing any selling. He told me that they stopped three weeks ago. I asked him what they were selling and he told me that they were still selling units with a no maintenance fee provision and a buy back in two years included among other things. Sound familiar. The "Boss Man" arrived and I was directed into the sales room. He told me that he was their legal counsel. He started by telling me that my diamond exec. suite was now worth $124,900 up from $114,900. WOW. This U Hotel is connected to the resort of the same name in Thailand, but the hotel in Thailand has denied this. He told me that the reasons they are not doing construcion is that if they wait 4 years they will realize a 42% tax break. Also they can buy steel for 42 cents from Thailand and they would have to pay the Mexican government $2.80 for the same amount, He denied that they are doing any selling but that they allowed another group to use the facilities to promote a vacation club, but they are no longer there. He encouraged me to get in line for the buyout as they are now giving people back their money. This is the last week that they were taking the $9800 for the buyout. Mr. Alan Dale is handling this. He told me the money was coming from the casino profits from the business that they own. I told him I knew someone who looked for Mr Dale at the address but no one by that name was there. He told me ATT is not at the address that they give out either. He denied knowing anything about the newsletter and who wrote it. I asked about the meeting with Profeco that was to be held in Mexico City in December, but of course he knew nothing about it. By the way, the towers will each hold 108 suites and that means there will be a total of 216 of them. They must each be the size of a large closet. We stayed the week at Velas Vallarta and each morning as I left our suite directly ahead were the iron bars of U Hotel. The view has not changed in three years. The whole situation is so sad.

we were contacted by tj this time and now the want another $9678.00 to transfer our check to us. they have a different scheme each time. Last Jan 2011 we were # 32 on the list and were supposed to get payed in 3 months and we payed a supposed Mexican tax, then in May after we called Allen Dale several times, he said we had been bumped back because U Resorted owned the place so we had to pay to transfer ownership. which we felt we needed to do if we wanted to get payed. But are now # 60 on the list. Its been 8 more months. They claim they have liquidated 80 But I haven't been able to find out if any were payed anything. He is going to call back Monday for the funds but we are not going to give them any more. I feel we have been burned three times already. I tryed to e-mail Profecto but my E-mail did not go through. If anyone has any sucsess please let us know

The man who I spoke to that was trying to get me to pay more money showed me a letter from someone that got his money back, he said. I would not believe one word that he has said. Profecto probably will not be able you help you. Sorry I wish I had better news.

My retired parents were contacted by this horrible horrible company to sell them back their shares.

They convinced my parents that they had to act quick to get in on this offer and they sent them the almost $10K.

Now they think they're going to get something back. He refused to hire an attorney because he said there wasn't enough time. Makes me so angry.

After all this time, they still have hope. I have none about this!

Why does the Mexican government allow this to go on? How many innocent people have been bilked of their money with this place?

It is so sad that these crooks continue to bilk unsuspecting people out of their money. Please inform your parents that they will never be able to recover any of their money unless they want to join the class action suit. Because of their 'buying' this fractional ownership and giving up their good timeshare as well (to get the Belaire one), they now cannot go on the nice vacations they deserve.

It sickens me. My Dad still believes he going to see the money. I keep telling him he should have had an attorney look at the contract (my boss is Mexican born and raised and could have helped me find an attorney in Mexico!). He was in such a rush (as the "u" put a close in deadline or they'd miss out and he bought it) he bypassed it all and sent them the $$. He still thinks he's getting his check this month or next.

Please send info on how to be a part of the class action suit. we have also been ripped off by Belaire/Hotel U!
