Best way to rent my Maui Ocean Club week

Aug 14, 2016

We have always used our MOC weeks but next year we are thinking of renting them out instead. What is the best way to do this? How do you determine pricing? How do you prevent people from backing out? We have a two bedroom oceanfront in the old towers.

Thanks for any help or advice you can share.

I was hoping an owner would chime in but none have so I will take a stab at it. If you have a float week you want to reserve as prime a week as possible. Whale season, 4th of july or other July, early August weeks. You look at the prices others are asking and want to be in the lower 10-20%. When you get a taker ask for a $100 deposit to place the reservation in their name. Once they have the confirmation you get the rest of the rental fee. You need to have a contract or clear terms and let them know the rental fee is non refundable and recommend they take out vacation insurance.
