Hello - We are timeshare owners and year-round property owners @ Massanutten - YES skiing is great in January! The slopes open by the second weekend of December and typically stay open through the third weekend of March.

Regarding the waterpark, this is a year-round complex and it is completely awesome! As a year-round owner we purchased the annual membership to the waterpark because our kids (ages 9-21) LOVE it! Our older kids have become hooked on the flow-rider (surf simulator); the staff often takes the time to teach you how to barrel-roll and do other tricks. It's pretty darn fun!

Also open year-round - mini-golf & the new go-cart track (in the absence of snow), the horseback riding stables & champoinship golf courses. If you haven't visited Massanutten Resort yet -- treat your family to an awesome vacation (ANY season!) & you'll find yourself returning year after year! Schultzie6
