Spicebush is located in prestigious Sea Pines Plantation, where you will find 15 miles of meandering trails for strolling, bike riding, and enjoying the natural surroundings. The resort features an on-site tennis court and a heated outdoor swimming pool, and lagoon. The tri-level units are fully furnished and situated just a short distance from the beach.
Spicebush combines an open, airy style of comfort and southern grace. Warm and inviting, the villas provide a friendly environment in which to re-charge after a busy day of golf, tennis, soaking up the sun on the beach, or visiting the many areas that this lovely island has to offer. Best of all, you are close enough to the ocean to hear the breaking waves and smell the inviting fresh sea air.

This is a very special place, much like your own well kept second home and sort of a secret. Located in private Sea Pines (non owners/renters must pay to enter Sea Pines) with miles of walking and bicycle paths, ponds, alligators, forest preserve, golf courses and marinas, dolphin sighting trips. Each of the 24 units is a 3 story town house with private parking. There is no lobby, no concession stands, no concierge, no crowds and no noise - just your own town house with deck, private pool and tennis courts, and a 5 minute walk to golf courses, restaurants and your own private Sea Pines Beach Club on the beach with a Tiki Hut and bar and grill. Kitchens were just redone, high speed internet (wireless), bike rentals can be delivered to your unit and waiting for you. During the Heritage Golf Tournament (April), Sea Pines is crowded and it is virtually impossible to get the tournament get unless you have a unit in Sea Pines - if you want to see this tournament try for a rental during tournament week. We like April the most - it's usually in the uper 70's and sunny - we walk from the beach club 3 miles along the beach to Coligny Plaza for lunch and drinks. If we get tired we stop at any of the resorts located just outside Sea Pines and on the beach. If you want entertainment and dancing you can drive to clubs and bars just a few minutes away, but when you return it is back to your quiet hideaway.

Stayed in Spicebush twice now and must say it is a real hidden gem. I love the private tennis court on site and the large heated pool. All the units have been recently refurbished and there is a large walkout deck off each unit.
Multi level with master BR on 3rd. Private covered parking and it is like living in your own home. Just off the Sea Pines bike path and just down the road from Monarch.

The units have been upgraded nicely in the last 2 years, both in the 2nd bedroom, 2nd bath, and master bedroom. The pool area has been upgraded with new furniture and better maintenance as compared to years past. Our family feels right at home when we stay during the summer season.
We love the easy access to the beach and tree- covered walking/bike paths.

The proximity of Spicebush to the beach, golfing and biking trails is it's best feature. If you just want a quiet place to rest inbetween activities this place fits the bill. The layout of the unit we stayed at was nice - three levels for plenty of privacy. But the unit had a cottage-rental feel to it - a bit run down and in not as clean as it could be. The pool area was disappointing - not well maintained. No bike racks available either.
