Just returned from a wonderful week here (RCI trade). May 2011. We had a 7th floor oceanfront room. We had a great time! Awesome views! The Hollywood Beach Boardwalk is first class! and this condo is right on the boardwalk/beach - no streets to cross. We found the boardwalk so apealing thet we walked at least 5 miles each day. Boardwalk and beaches were extremely well maintained. Tons of nice inexpensive restaurants and bars along the boardwalk. The acomodations were spacious clean and attractive. Furnishings were good and comfortable. Not sure how the fold out sofa bed was - we did not use it. Nice having 2 full bathrooms - even for just 2 people. Nice big flat screen TV in bedroom. Smaller TV in living room. The common areas and pool were top shelf - very nice. Staff was outstanding and friendly. The only things that some might find to be below par were kitchen and baths. The kitchen is small but functional, with the 12" square (bar sink) being the only thing that we really wished was a bit larger. The bathrooms have been cosmeticly refreshed, but show age and ware. In spite of minor imperfections in our unit - my wife and I loved it - and can't wait to come back next year.

This resort has really done a great job of upgrading everything. The rooms and common areas are well maintained and very clean. The pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean are also very well maintained. And not to mention location, location, location! A friend stayed here for two weeks in January 2009 and had this to say:
"Your place was excellent. My father had the VERY comfortable king size bed and the huge TV. The pool was very nice and the staff was friendly. Everything was very smooth."

Ive just came back from a week and improvements are being done all the time. There were new 32 inch flat screen tvs in our bedroom a new bathroom with new tiles and floor were redone plans are for new furniture , new kitchens with dishwashers year 2009 they will be putting in all new windows and painting the outside...... the lobby and entertainment room is new....pool was put in new 5 years ago.......its under new management and some of these reviews are not current to what is going on there.....new mangement is SPM resorts look them ,they only have had it 3 years going into 2009 sounds like they will be doing a great job and best of all its on the ocean with blue blue water. I give it a 3 right now but as improvements get done it will rate higher. Donald Trump is building a 40 floor condo unit here and suppose to be done in 2009. Talk is he maybe interested in more property on the ocean and this is on the ocean could be a good investment. We have a place in florida that we bought and we although had good times here there isnt a need for it so make an offer give me an e-mail on it , you can also use for trades with RCI its a small investment to go all over.

THE BATH TUBS WERE PAINTED RATHER THAN REPLACED BUT THE VERY WELL LAID BACK ATTITUDE OF THE HAITIAN MAINTENANCE CREWS MADE IT FEEL JUST LIKE I WAS IN HAITI.

Just returned from a week at the resort, June 2 to June 9. Found the resort in need of close attention to detail.
The resort has two elevators and only one was working the whole time and according to people before me was broken during their tenure.
Found the day staff to be unattentive to any problems including an inability to fix my phone for local calls to getting the one common internet site up and running on a daily basis.
BE CAREFUL if you exchange into the resort as only half the rooms are ocean view. I requested an ocean view 2 weeks prior to arrival and when I complained that my room faced the parking lot to the rear, the best the staff could do was to shrug it off.
The housekeeping staff came in once to replace the towels. They would often either open the door while I was there or knock to see if someone was there for no apparent reason. Once I acknowledged I was there they would just excuse themselves and go away.
There are much better resorts on the beach that welcome visitors and are more concerned with the upkeep of the resort.
I will not be returning to this resort and would advise others to choose elsewhere.
