Year-round recreation, together with spectacular scenery, is what you will find at North Lake Lodges & Villas. This lodging-only timeshare resort features studio and one-bedroom accommodations. Studio units sleep two with a full-size Murphy bed; one-bedroom units sleep four with a queen bed and sleeper sofa. All units offer a fully equipped kitchen for a quiet meal at home.
While North Lake Lodges & Villas does not offer any on-site amenities, many guests choose to use the nearby Incline Village Recreation Center. The 37,000 square foot, first-class complex boasts a wide variety of activities for all ages and interests. The Recreation Center offers a complete selection of programs and equipment for you and your family to enjoy daily, weekly, monthly, or annually.
Summer pastimes in Lake Tahoe include tennis, swimming in the pristine waters of Lake Tahoe (a mere three blocks from the Resort), and golf at the championship 18-hole course just across the street from the resort. Virtually all water sports are available from jet skiing to sailing, fishing to waterskiing.
With winter's first snowfall, Incline Village turns into a skiing paradise. Diamond Peak, Lake Tahoe's premier family ski resort, is a half mile from the resort. There are 15 additional ski areas within an hour's drive. Shuttles run frequently in the area. All resorts offer a variety of challenges, from beginning to expert trails. The view of the lake is spectacular against the winter white backdrop. Incline Village also offers fine dining spots and unique shopping.

We have stayed at this resort for a week during the summer of 2007 and 2008, in a Villas unit, and will be returning next summer. The resort is extremely small and is located between multi-million dollar condo developments. There are currently only 3 Villas units available with five units currrently not in service that are undergoing refurbishment. The Villas units are really two separate one bedroom units, each with their own kitchen and living room areas, with a common entrance area for the two units. The Villas are ideal for two couples or a couple with teenage children. Our daughters love the jacuzzi bath in the upstairs loft area (before refurbishment, this area was a third bedroom). If you are planning on sleeping someone in a living room, bring an air bed. The sofa beds are uncomfortable even by sofa bed standards. The resort does not have laundry facilities for guests or a pool (an outdoor jacuzzi is being built at the Lodges), but is very centrally located to a wealth of activities. For example, the clubhouse for the Incline Village Championship Golf Course is approximately 1/4 mile away and you can easily walk to the Hyatt casino, which is about 3 blocks away. The beaches in Incline Village are all private, but each week of usage includes one days worth of passes to any of the three private beaches and the best public beach on the lake, Sand Harbour, is a short drive away. You can also purchase a one week pass for the Incline Village Homeowner recreational facilities. We have not used the public transit system, but it stops a short distance from the resort. An excellant supermarket is less than a quarter mile away. While the Villas are near the main road around Lake Tahoe, in the evenings as we enjoyed a glass of wine on the upstairs balcony, we rarely heard road noise above the sound of the wind in the pine trees. We have not seen the insides of any of the units at the Lodges, which are one bedroom and studio units, but they are very nice from the outside. The Lodges is, however, a bit closer to the road. The Villas units aren't fancy, particularly in comparison to the surrounding real estate (you do feel abit like the poor people of the neighborhood), but the units have everything needed for a week of relaxation and recreation at Lake Tahoe.
