I stayed here once before back in Jan 2005. The unit belonged to a friend and they gave it to us for a week. It was a larger "A" unit in Building 9, I believe we stayed on the 9th floor. We loved it!!! So much better than staying on property at Disney itself. We loved having our own bedroom (with a big jacuzzi tub) for privacy from the little ones (then 7 and 9) and having our own kithen. We made breakfast every morning befor heading to the parks and would always hit the pool at the end of the day no matter how late it was to unwind. Even though January is cooler the heated pool felt great.

This past year we had the opportunity to buy a timeshare and looked here first. We bought a combined A & B unit week in January in building # 8. This year was the first time we used it and again we loved it. The kids are a little older now (11 & 13) and we gave them the freedom of the smaller unit. It was nice to be able to keep the inner doors open to hear them but still have our privacy. We took advantage of the washer and dryer and did a washed a load of clothing each evening so we always had clean clothes but the better thing was being able to pack all clean clothes to bring home. No dreaded laundry as soon as we got home. Just unpacked and put away the summer clothes to wait for our summer to arrive.

The facilities are well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with all supplied needed to prepare all of our meals. One microwave was not working upon check-in but after a call to the front office a new one was brought in the same afternoon. (not that we needed the other microwave but it was nice to see how quickly a concern was taken care of by staff.) Our unit over-looked the pool and I was concerned it would be noisy but we never heard the pool at all unless we were actually out on one of our decks. I love how close we are to the parks.(about 5 - 10 minute drive depending on the park) Close enough even to come back for a quick change or nap mid afternoon and still head back to the parks for the rest of the day. Plus far enough away that there are plenty of other restaraunts and shops to relax and enjoy away from all that is Disney. The place even has dvds to rent for free, just go over to the clubhouse sign out what you want and go back to nuke some popcorn and have a fun movie night with the kids.

It would have been great if I could get internet service from our unit but I didn't mind going out to the 3rd floor lobby. (we were on the 3rd floor anyway) I am a morning person while everyone else likes to sleep in so this was my quiet time. I would workout, make some coffee and head out to the lobby for a while to get up to date on my business. I was always out there early (6:30 to 7:30 am) and was usually the only one there. It may get busier later in the day. I couldn't tell you about that, though the most I ever saw when we would come back in the evening might be just 1 or 2 people there.

The only other negative might be the parking. We were there for 7 days and never once got a parking space at our building. We always had to park in the garage another building away. Luckily the kids are older and would walk with us but if we had little ones we had to carry this would have been very fustrating after a long day of walking around parks. This would not be upsetting enough to keep me from staying here, though. I highly recommend this location.

We are trying to talk friends into coming and staying with us next year. Sharon

Vacation Village At Parkway enjoys a great location close to Interstate 4 just off the 192. They were half way through construction of their final sized resort of 25 buildings. Our sales rep told us you could watch the fireworks at Disney World from some of the buildings.

Three or more seven-story buildings are grouped around a central recreation area of pool, playground and barbecue area. If you walk along the raised boardwalk of the wildlife conservation areas intermingled throughout the complex, you feel as if you are far from the hustle and bustle of city living.

During a good part of our stay, the weather was rainy and not too warm, so there was not much activity at the pools, but judging the prominent signs everywhere about not reserving chairs with towels, I believe it would often be difficult to find a free chair. The pools are not large and situated as they are between the buildings, much of the lounge areas would likely be shaded for most of the day.

There are daily activities like pool aerobics, bingo, scavenger hunts, trivia, and face painting. Over Easter there was an Easter egg hunt for kids under 12--most of the activities could be enjoyed at no extra cost.

We have a two-bedroom lockout attractively decorated with quality wooden furniture and an enormous television. The larger side has a Jacuzzi and each side has its own balcony. Each side of the lockout has a queen-sized bed, sleep sofa, and washer and dryer. Kitchen facilities are ample. We can see the Arabian Knights complex from our balcony.

There are several pools, an activities center, a playground and a fitness room with a few treadmills, a bike, a Stairmaster, an elliptical and two weight machines. There is an Internet center and you can actually use it at no cost for 15 minutes.

We spent the week of Thanksgiving 2007 in an A unit in building 11. We are owners here but had not previously stayed at this property. The unit itself was immaculate, and the grounds are lovely. Housekeeping and maintenance seemed to work 24/7.

Cooking Thanksgiving dinner was a breeze, with almost every piece of kitchen gear we needed. The washer and dryer were handy. Being on the 7th floor mitigated some of the noise from the pool that earlier reviews mention. Location is excellent.

Our only complaint...and the only reason we don't give this property 5 stars...is the lack of Internet access except in the remote reception building and in the small 2nd- and 3rd-floor elevator lobbies of buildings 8 and 9. The general manager told us that all buildings would have access in about 6 months, but for a fee. As owners, we object! We paid a lot for our points and we continue to pay high annual fees. Connectivity is not an option, it's part of our lifestyle, even when we're on vacation...checking museum hours, making dinner reservations, paying a bill, e- mailing friends and family, etc. When will these timeshare companies get with the program and provide free, reliable access?

We stayed at the Vacation Village at Parkway property Feb. 10-Feb 17, 2007.

We were promised the larger of the two units (a king size bed) only to receive the smaller of the two units upon check-in. We received lame excuses that they were booked full and that was all that was available.

Upon arriving in the unit, our key did not work. Back to the check-in desk.

The unit was VERY small, with a queen sized bed. The unit was also incredibly dirty; dust, hair, crumbs, etc. And best of all--NO TOILET PAPER!! After a long day of travel, the need for facilities was huge! Not even a kleenex was available (not to mention, soap and kitchen supplies)! There were cobwebs in the corners of the bathroom too. The microwave was sitting on an unwheeled cart and had to be scooted over to a electrical outlet!

Every day we called to request the larger unit but to no avail UNTIL 2 DAYS before check- out! Thanks but no thanks!

The bed was lumpy (and we found a safety pin in the bed!), there was no clock radio in the bedroom until we called a requested one, the living room furniture was terribly uncomfortable to sit on let alone try to sleep on the pull out sofa. The TV remote didn't work and had to be replaced. The TV itself was SO SMALL! (The larger units have a 60" TV)

On the up side, the pool area was nice and the tall buildings actually protected us from the winds (a plus in February). The maintenance people were also very courteous and helpful.

We stayed here in March 2006. We stayed in a small lock-off said to sleep 4. Was fine for 2 adults and 2 kids with one bathroom. The unit was clean, furnishings were fine. No complaints. There was an elevator. It seemed like a long walk from the parking lot to the room carrying the kids We had a balcony overlooking the pool. Pools closed at 10 when we were there which was fine for us. Very close to Disney. We would stay there again.

We just returned from this resort. We stayed in the A condo which is the larger one. It was roomy and comfortable.

Our windows overlooked the pool. At night bright flood lights lit up our living and bedrooms as if it were daytime. They shut off at midnight. Plus the pool was full of children the entire time, that were having to holler over the music that plays all day long.

We waited a few days before scheduling our timeshare tour and received a check for $125 for about 75 minutes tour and breakfast time.

The location is really convenient to Disney World. The internet room was readily accessible. The parking was inconvenient as we had to park in a garage and walk 1/2 block to our room. Also, the construction of several new buildings was noisy during the day.

The beds were comfortable and the washer & dryer in the room were really nice to have. We would stay here again but request a room further from the pool and closer to the garage.

I just returned from a week's stay at this resort. I stayed in a one bedroom, unit A, which is the larger of the two units. The unit itself was very nice and very clean.

My biggest complaint is that there is not enough parking for each building. Coming back late from the parks with two small sleeping children and not having parking was quite annoying. I was originally told the parking would clear out after the holiday weekend (we were there over Memorial Day) but that was not the case. The configuration of the buildings doesn't allow for many parking spaces close to it. Our original room was the furthest from the elevator on the 5th floor. I requested to move to a 1st floor room and while we did get a first floor room, they moved us to the one building that didn't have a pool (Bldg 7) and we ended up having to park in the garage most of the time. So we would have to park, take the kids inside, and then my husband had to move the car into the garage. For some reason, this really bothered me throughout the week.

To me, this resort is run more like a hotel than a timeshare. It's not private so anybody can drive in. Privacy has a certain appeal.

A big plus is that it's only a short drive to Disney. So if you are looking for a resort that has clean, well-maintained rooms, this is probably a good place to be. While I generally spend some down time relaxing at my resort, this place did not make me feel like I wanted to.

Fortunately, I read prior reviews so I was prepared when I went to get my parking pass. I simply told them I had two small children and was not interested and nobody bothered me the rest of my stay. Then again, I was barely in the room so who knows if they kept trying to call!

I don't think I'll be staying here again. Too many other resorts I've stayed in the area that I'd return to.

Stayed here March 2006. We were very impressed with our unit. We had the larger of the 2. We were in a brand new building so everything was very clean. Our unit faced the pool which at night was loud because the sound echoed off the buildings. We did utilize the late night swimming which was wonderful after a long day at the parks. However, the flood lights to the pool were in our unit all night. Kids were sleeping on the pullout couch so we ended up clipping the bedspread to the curtain rods to block out the lights. That worked.

Other reviews are right about the sales people. We were told in order to get our parking pass we had to go "that counter". It was really a way to force you to hear the pitch about taking a short "survey" about the property. We too got a nice breakfast in Celebration. But when it was time to leave our sales rep told us to leave the tip. Which was fine BUT it was pure luck that we had cash on us. Didn't plan on a "free" breakfast costing anything. VERY, VERY pushy sales people/manager. We didn't ask questions, we knew not to. Manager came back 3 separate times and we finally had enough. Never gave them an indication of interest. Actually, the manager never looked at us he was like a robot that just wrote numbers on paper. It was kinda weird. When we thought we were heading out, they wouldn't give us our gifts until we entered an exit room. In there it starts out as a request to answer another survey about the sales rep to see if they did their job. Seated at more round tables with a "NEW SALESMAN" they started over with a whole new sales pitch/cost. Of course at about half the price that was just quoted. But by that time we were so annoyed that it didn't matter what the cost was. We had 2 young children that were ready to go. It was now 3 hours and I had to finally say I don't mean to be rude BUT..... So we ended up missing the National Anthem at baseball Spring Training.

We ended up with the Arabian Nights tickets for our 3 hour sales pitch. Would not recommend it. We walked out of there and we said we were glad we didn't actually pay for those tickets. Spend your money at a nice restaurant. Show was OK, one time but definately don't go for the food. Frozen vegetable, boxed mashed potatoes, wine/beer in a big kitchen plastic cup, and a primerib that was something-not really sure what it was. I lost my knife trying to cut into it. Waiter was friendly and hard working. The picture they take of you when you enter the facility was just another thing to sell you. They come around actually during the show, in the dark, to try to get you to buy it. Not a hard sell though. The horses were beautiful but the story......still don't know quite what it was. I think my boys would have preferred the joisting show down the street. Girls may have liked this more.

Property location is very close to all the parks and easily accessible. Very clean.

Didn't use anything but the pool & hot tub just because were spent our money at the parks and somehow felt obligated to get every last minute for our dollar at Disney.

We would easily stay here again, but next time would avoid the sales pitch. Don't think I would buy here because it is Very pricey. Can rent a lot cheaper from redweek.com.

We just came back from Vacation Village at the Parkway and my family and I had a wonderful time. This really was the best of the best even though I was tricked into scheduling a free breakfast when they really wanted you to go to the tour, but of course neglected to say that at time of appointment. But overall this is a beautiful place to stay. Clean and well maintained. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

We were pleased with these accomodations. Everything here was clean and maintained. The location was close to all, and the town of Celebration was across the road. The outdoor pool was heated and the kids truly enjoyed it at night after returning from the parks. The calls for timeshare sales was a bit annoying, but after finally going on the tour and recieving a great breakfast in Celebration, and $125.00 in CASH,(about an hour and a half total including brreakfast...don't ask questions)we told them we were not interested and the calls stopped. We had the two bedroom lockoff and had both sides A and B. Plenty of room. We would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for a week in March 2005. It was our very first timeshare experience ever, and we were very impressed. Our unit was a one-bedroom lock-off, and everything was clean, quiet.Location was very convenient. It is right across the street from the Arabian Nights Dinner Theatre, which we highly recommend.

Very spacious, sleep 8 unit, great decor and whirlpool tub in master on the A side. The 2 bedroom is a lock-off style with a complete 1 bedroom unit (kit, br, living room, and balcony) on each side instead of 1 bedroom and a studio. Each side (A & B) has a w/d. Lots of room. Great pool areas. There is about 1 pool for every 2-3 buildings. Building 1 and 2 do not have w/d in the unit but seem a little bit larger. However, they do have more parking than buildings 7-12. Extremely close to Disney and I-4 for Universal or Sea World.

Just got back and overall was pleased. The unit was gorgeous featuring a jacuzzi tub in the master. We only used it twice as with everything else, a new toy only gets played with for so long then gets boring. This is a 1 bedroom lock-off complex. Do not be fooled about 2 bedrooms. The 2nd bedroom or "b" side is the lock-off portion. I own 2 bedroom lock-off units elsewhere... which in fact is 3 bedrooms. Anyway... I was very disappointed with the internt situation. If you are an AOL subscriber, you have access in your room... if not, you have to go to the check-in building and use 1 of there 3 ( haha ) computers that is on dial- up!!!! Hello, 2005 calling!!! We sat through a presentation here to basically get the cash! On that note, when you check-in do not schedule an appointment as they will call you later in the week and up the kitty. ie: at check-in they told us we would get $50 cash. We ended up with $124!!! Would definately stay here again but never buy here!

Our sleep was interrupted the whole weekend with check-ins and check-outs rolling their carts along the long corridor on ceramic tile floors. The entrance was a long way from our unit - once we were inside the other exit doors locked behind us. Each time we left the unit, it repeated itself. We are non-smokers and the smell of smoke still infiltrated our unit through the vents. We checked-out early in the week in view of these conditions.

We were so pleased with our stay. The folks there could not have been nicer. We were close to EVERYTHING. 5 min to Disney. (really) The condo was beautiful. Furnishings/decor were elegant but casual, not a bit formal or stuffy. I adored the bed linens! 2 Pools, kiddie pool, 2 hot tubs, bbq grills, beautiful landscape, all you could want.

Clean beyond belief and well maintained. The nature walk was an unexpected treat. Don't miss this RCI Gold Crown Resort. Exceptional value.

Property was maintained very well. Some of the amenities require a walk, but nothing unduly arduous. Very close to Disneyworld Maingate and restaurants. Just off freeway, so driving time to anything in Orlando area is very convenient.

Only problem was some of the items in the rooms were missing, so be sure to do your inventories!
