The greater Fort Lauderdale area, best known for its 23 miles of continuous ocean beach, also rates top billing as a yachting capital. The city has nearly as many canals as Venice, and more than 2,600 area dining spots are available to satisfy a wide range of tastes. Just north of Fort Lauderdale is Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, a quieter but equally enchanting vacation spot. Located directly on the Atlantic Ocean, with 300 feet of sandy beach, Costa del Sol Resort is your home base for a perfect Florida vacation.Costa del Sol Resort

its a bit over-priced for a 3 star resort but it is a relaxed atmosphere on the ocean.

We stayed March 26th for 7 nights and had an enjoyable time. I appreciated the location. You can walk to the pier and the Aruba Beach Cafe. A few other restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. We rented a car at the airport and were very glad we did because it made access to other shopping and restaurants once we crossed the causeway. The airport rental was a breeze for pickup and drop off. Got a great deal from Hotwire. I would visit again. The property was clean and decently maintained. Beach terrific.Pool area has plenty of seating. They have a very large grill and other vacationers were always grilling for lunch or dinner. The unit kitchens were well stocked. Air conditioning was more than adequate. My only gripe was the day of arrival. The unit wasn't ready until after 3pm.After a long day traveling you just want to unpack and settle in. I don't understand it because they demand that you exit the unit by 10 am. I thought it was pretty cheesey of management to grab you for $ 7.00 plus tax to use the safe. Oh well, I gladly paid it but as a matter of principal it shouldn't be listed as an amenity on the property if there is a cost. They charge plenty for the rental. I saved considerably renting from the week's owner instead of the property directly. Some of the other vacationers have been coming the same week for years. No problems with the redweek process and I would do it again.

We stayed at Costa Del Sol in July, 2009 in a one-bedroom timeshare overlooking the pool and then the ocean. It was a wonderful surprise every morning to wake up and see the ocean in front of us. The sunsets and the one lightening storm while we were there were beautiful. Staff was responsive. We got to see the very quaint 4th of July parade and had to go to our favorite hangout, the Aruba, which is right on the ocean and just down the street. We love the small town atmosphere of LBTS....something that is hard to find elsewhere.

We just returned from a week here. We too rented from David Johnson and it was all he said it was. Clean, good location, spectacular beach and pool. The staff was great. We arrived late at night but that was no problem, the security guard was expecting us and made sure we had everything we needed. Would return in a minute. David was very helpful with information and guaranteeing a trouble free rental experience.

We just got back after spending 1 week here & it was paradise! We rented a week from an owner, David Johnson who was just amazing-so helpful & so nice! The resort was immaculate inside & out! The grounds are kept very nicely & the private beach is just pristine! We were greeted by staff person David who was very nice, friendly & helpful - what a multi-tasker he is -- always busy! The unit was sooooo neat & clean! We loved our housekeeper, Bernette or as our 2yr old daughter called her, "Sweetie"! She kept the place as clean as home - very neat, clean & new looking! We were very comfortable walking around barefoot & allowing our daughter to walk on the floors - no dirty feet! We are very picky, neat, clean people so that was a huge plus! We have always stayed at high end resorts/hotels & this resort is right up there - in top 3 for us!
The outdoor community grill was a hot spot! Awesome idea that was such a plus to be able to go out & cook our dinners on each evening & a great gathering place to meet others there on vacation! We met a lot of people who have been owners & coming here for 10-20yrs & going - they bring/brought their children there over the years & it is a great family place! We only wished they had 2 bedroom units. The units are a decent size though! We will definitely go back again & may even consider buying there! It was such a relaxing vacation!
