35 Miles to a store. No cell service. Resort shows it's age. No pool. Only 1 TV in each unit. Not very clean. Slowwww ski lifts. BUT, we did pretty much have the slopes to ourselves and the resort is right at the slopes.

We had a wonderful time at Goldenwoods. We wanted a place that was quiet and beautiful, and needed a good bed and a well equipt kitchen. We found all that here. Incredibly blue skies during the day, and velvety black, starry skies at night. It was really quiet, the hiking is fabulous and uncrowded, and the lakes were clear and cold. Orchards on either side of Grand Mesa had wonderful peaches, and some other produce. It was restful and relaxing, and we enjoyed it tremendously.

Although there have been management problems in the past, this is a wonderful resort in a lovely area -- one of Colorado's best-kept secrets. Spacious units. Great in summer or winter.
