Port de Plaisance Resort & Casino

Visited 8/04 with family of 5. Loved it, deserted and very willing to please staff. Pool was great but bar was closed for "inventory" mid- month??

If you are looking for a "casino" and are used to Vegas and such, don't get too excited. But, it was fun, and, drinks ARE free if you are gambling!! Kids were very happy as well.

We went to St. Maarten during the first week of August, 2004. We got the resort thru RCI exchange. The resort was very nicely located. The staffs were friendly. The restaurant served French cruisin. Make sure to order creme beule for desert. It was delicious. The resort is safe, clean and everyone were very nice. The weather was very pleasant, it was around 70's to 80's with breeze. The ocean water was warmer than the air.

We toured both Deutch side and French side. We love all the white sand beaches, especially the Orient beach. We went to the Oyster bay resort and used their beach chairs and embralla free and enjoyed the snorkeling too. In the evening before dinner we used the free kayak in the resort around the bay for about a hour or so, relaxing and having beer in the boat. It was so beautiful to watch sunset in the kayak. I would want to return again.
