Americana Village is a quaint family-oriented timeshare property, just far enough away from the large ski resorts to escape the crowds. The friendly staff is eager to assist with any request, and the activities staff has a calendar full of events to ensure guests are never left without anything to do. Find relaxation in the year-round heated outdoor pool, or take a brief respit in the beautiful sauna or hot tub. The resort also offers a pro shop filled with books, games, videos, bicycles, and snow saucers, all available at no cost.
Americana Village offers studio, one-, and two-bedroom accommodations. Studio units feature a queen bed, queen sleeper sofa, and a kitchenette with a mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. One-bedroom units feature a king bed in the bedroom, a queen and twin size sleeper sofa in the living area, and a full size kitchen. Two-bedroom units feature a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen Murphy bed in the guest bedroom/game room, a queen sleeper sofa in the living area, and a full size kitchen.
Within a mile of Americana Village is the Heavenly Valley ski resort, and beautiful Lake Tahoe for summer skiing, sunbathing, boating and fishing. Also nearby is Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, set along the south shore of Lake Tahoe. Designed by George Fazio, Edgewood is rated by Golf Digest Magazine as one of "America's Top Golf Courses".

Just got back. Had a great time! This is a small friendly resort that is very relaxing. Americana definitely has THE BEST staff of any timeshare I have been to. That really made the stay nice.
I'm not a fan of the Gold-crown mega-resorts, too cold & impersonal. I like to walk outside my room & hop into the pool, not navigate the endless hallways of the larger resorts.
The Resort Staff is very nice & polite with good suggestions on what to do. I would suggest the "Woodwind I" Trimaran sailboat cruise to Emerald bay & back.
The kids loved the free donuts every morning (nice touch). The pool was gorgeous, recently redone with new flagstone, very peaceful. Giant trees are everywhere, and only a few blocks to the casinos. The Horizon buffet dinner was awesome (and cheap!). This was a very relaxing place to stay.

This is a fantastic resort. The landscaping is terrific all year round. The rooms have recentlty been remodeled and fresh paint. The pool is perfect with a spa and sana on site.
There are Barbeques all over the grounds. There is a solorium with a big screen TV.
The rooms have new carpet or tile, with ceiling fans in the bedrooms with two TVs in the unit.
There is super pastries each morning, There is internet access and DVD's in each unit.
There are activities here and the Sister resort The Stardust which is 2 blocks from Harah's
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Shuttle service to Casinos hourly.
Highly recommend this resort.
