LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
The property is located at 3701 Blackwood, about two blocks off of Ski Run Boulevard closer to Pioneer Trail than Highway 50. Geographically it requires getting in a car to do anything. Within the resort (they call it a resort) complex it is very quiet, esthetically its not very pleasing since all but about 10 % of the grounds are landscaped with asphalt.
The biggest drawback is the surrounding neighborhood which is a residential neighborhood
BEDROOMS
The actual two bedroom units are very small, they are speced for a maximum of 6, we were able to sleep five without using the living room, the master bedroom had a double bed and less than one foot of clearance between the foot of the bed and the dresser. The other bedroom was configured with a double bed and bunk beds providing sleeping for the three kids.
BATHROOMS
There was only a single bathroom which looked to have been redone,( tile and cabinetry) in the last decade, this did present a problem and the units, even though having sleeping accommodations for realistically up to eight including the sleeper should not be occupied by more than four.
KITCHEN DINING
The kitchen utensils, dishes and pans were up to date and complete, there was no garbage disposal and cabinetry, countertops and stove were definitely original from the early 70s
EXTERIOR There is a common deck with two BBQs, one non functional for the 7 units on the property, new patio furniture was in place, it was just very basic.
Laundry facilities are shared and with time limitations since the same machines are used for the Linens.
STAFF
The staff was very helpful, courteous and even apologetic prior to our arrival, they wanted to be sure I wasnt going to be disappointed with my stay. They are responsible for the actual cleaning and maintenance of the units, the units are spotless.
GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
The unit was actually better than I expected
