Description

Pier 7 Condominiums place you in the heart of the active Cape Cod area, with plenty of shopping, restaurants, and attractions on the Main Street of Hyannis. Take a harbor tour to view at the famous Kennedy summer home, wander through nearby Chatham's charming village, or set sail in colorful Provincetown for a whale watching tour.

The resort offers you a heated indoor pool for swimming any time of year, a sauna, BBQ grills, playground area, and a hot tub. Beach passes are also available. Due to town ordinances, these units feature a refrigerator, but no in room cooking facilities. However, you will find many fine restaurants, especially those featuring fresh seafood, in the area.

The resort overlooks a marina and the Parker River. The units and grounds are very well maintained. The studio units sleep just 2 people, the one bedrooms have two queen sized beds and a queen pull out in the living room. The two full baths are a nice addition. Great indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna. Sundeck, grill area, play area. The only negatives are that the town does not allow for cooking except for the microwave and hot pot and being located on Route 28, it gets a lot of ambulances from the lower cape. A nice seafood restaurant with entertainment is next door and there is a fish market which will cook your lobster for you! The staff is THE BEST! This is a great Mid Cape location close to everything.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Pier 7 condominiums on an exchange through RCI. The apartment had furniture with holes in the sofa and one of the side chairs, wallpaper peeling off the walls and a semi repaired crack in one of the bathtubs (I have pictorial proof of all these statements). Additionally, even though we had reserved a weeks vacation we were charged a fee of $35 for "non scheduled" cleaning of the rooms. I gave it a one star rating only because RED WEEK does not have anything lower.

The 1-bedroom units are quite large. 2 queen sized beds, sofa bed in living room. Lots of closet space. Televisions in bedroom and in living room; 2 full bathrooms. Microwave, small fridge, toaster, blender, coffee maker and hotpot. Plenty of glassware and cutlery.

Indoor pool and jacuzzi. Playground for the kids and several grills. Movies to rent for $1.

Kids activities are planned for each day (summertime), such as tie-dye t-shirts, pool games, gel candle making. One evening was toasting hotdogs and s'mores over a camp fire.

Pier 7 is great if you are looking for a home base and taking day trips sight-seeing and such. Very centrally located, and Pirate's Cove mini-golf is right across the street. Front desk offers guests beach passes to town beaches. (Try Parker River beach - on the ocean, great sand and lots of parking).

Not a lot of green space on premises, however abuts Parker River, and folks were fishing; walking path. There is a marina at the rear of the property.

Grounds were nicely maintained, beautiful flower beds and window boxes. Unit is an older motel that has been renovated, (two motel rooms converted into one-bedroom current units; they were just redecorated in 2003). Trash collected and fresh towels delivered daily.

Walking distance to several restaurants; Christopher's is nice with the kids; Jerry's Seafood is a small local place with good food year round.
