A mountain retreat is not for everyone, but if you want to feel like you went back in time to when things were simple, you probably will enjoy this area. The staff tried to please and the unit we were in was spacious. Some parts of the condo were refurbished, some parts looked old. There is a small lake that you can fish in without a license. Immediately adjacent there is a bigger lake that requires a license to fish.

I own a studio week 32 here. Have used if for two years. This resort has an interesting history. It was built about 30 years ago and was once part of a complex with a ski lift in the back yard, a resterant and bar and an olympic size pool. The developer went into bankrupcy and the interval owners aquired the lodgings part. The rest sits unused and the resort has had a hard time scince the division. They are starting to make major repairs and renovate the units scince RHC aguired a lot of intervals. They may be at a turn around point. The area is wonderfull and they are very busy in the summer. It is far from luxury but makes a great vacation if you like the catskills.

Had a great time.Didnt go during ski time but the fishing was excellent & you could even fish right out of your back door with out a license, legally. Also went hiking & theirs a lot of space for quads. But could use a bar & rest.

Staff very friendly.

The resort just started refurbishing the condos in the Spring! The condos that have been completed, look great!

This resort has a serene, relaxing location. My kids loved the endless fishing, hiking, paddle boating on the lake & horseback riding.

This is definitely a place that you can leave all your cares behind!

The building needs maintenance, but the staff is excellent. Peaceful quiet setting, but many things to do 30 min to 2 hrs away. Baseball hall of fame, Howe Caverns.

Many onsite activities, most for children. Some supervised activities for children 5 and over so parents can have some free time.

If you want to neutralize your stress and get some peace of mind, this is the place to be. The serene lake scene is relaxing and the staff is super courteous.

What's the point of going on vacation if you come back with the same stress that you left with. Leave it behind in Stamford, NY.
