A nice remote resort on a beautiful island. Beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea and cruise ships going by. Beach is nice with a few rocks to be careful not to hurt your feet on. Be sure to be prepared to battle the mosquitos at dusk and after dark. Good snorkling at the edge of the beach. Many stairs to climb to get to beach...a little rough on my knees.

Must purchase tokins to do laundry. $2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry one load. I left unused laundry detergent and fabric softener in laundry room, as other people did. Use that before you buy more.

Front desk staff not the friendliest I've seen. Had to pay $18 per day utility fee. Taxi ride was $15 per person almost anywhere we went. It is better to have your own vehicle...preferably a Jeep. Be prepared with a detailed map, and good luck finding the street names marked on the streets. And don't forget to drive on the left side of the road!

Resort is not the newest, but in pretty good shape. Overall, we had a great vacation!

Yea, I gave it five stars, I am especially partial to this resort.

Map photo at right has been replaced. It is now correct for Bluebeards Beach Club. Thanks for pointing that out don649!

If you are looking for a major hotel where you need to run down at 6am to claim a beach or pool chair then this property is not for you. Never a problem getting a lounge, chair, or even a beach hut. Very Private resort with little to do but relax. Now managed by Fairfield I think some of the past problems are just that.

We have stayed here 6 six times now and we now call it our annual winter get away. The food at the property is fair to good and limited but who cares you have a full kitchen in each unit. The swim up pool bar makes for a fun day at the pool. Lunch at the pool bar is basic but good. Burgers, chicken fingers, chicken caesar salad, fish of the day, ect. Wireless internet by the pool is also a nice feature. Checked my email while sitting at the pool bar.

RENT A CAR from Budget rent a car at least two months in advance and you will thank me for it. Like most resorts in St Thomas it is a drive to everything. Taxi's are expensive and after three taxi's rides you could have paid for an advance Budget rental.

Being nice gets you everything at the resort. Every year I see people yelling at the staff then expecting a kind word in response. Any question we asked was answered and any problem we had was address within one to two hours.

Hints: Go for breakfast at the Marriott, Dinner Iggies, Off The Hook, and for that special night Agave Terrace. Need groceries for your stay ? Drive toward Red Hook and shop at Food market on the left before you get to Red Hook. (you Can't miss it on bend in road )

Bluebeards beach club has the most beautiful sunsets from most of the rooms as well as from the beach and restaurant. Remember this is the islands relax, relax, relax and enjoy your week in paridise. FYI the map shown on the right is wrong that is the elysian hotel not Bluebeards Beach club

I stayed at the Beach Club Dec. 16 - 23, 2006. I've been to St. Thomas twice yearly, sometimes more for about 10 years now, but never had an opportunity to stay here. I will again.

The Beach Club is close to town & a bit of a drive to Red Hook, where I like to go, but that is ok with me. Over-all it isn't fancy, but very clean, quiet, secluded, secure & relaxing. The buildings are layed out in such a way that all are ocean view and basically a stone's throw from the pool & beach. Everything is in good shape. The pool has a swim-up bar where drinks flow with excellent service. Upon check-in; the lobby became packed with guests also checking-in; I found the front desk staff to be prepared, organized, helpful & friendly.

I prefer quiet & low-key atmosphere. There really isn't much 'night-life' at the resort, but again, fine with me. My 3 college-age daughters created their own fun with others their age poolside during the days and at the main bar in the evenings. They had a great time!

The restaurant is right on the beach & has spectacular views and good service & food. We went there & various other places on the island in the evenings. We were very pleased. I had a loft-unit which had a kitchen with all the essentials including newer appliances & full-size referigerator [not bar-size]. A bit of minor paint touch-up on the wood trim on the staircase would be the only thing it needed. Over-all as nice or nicer than most timeshare units at other resorts.

My AC unit didn't appear to be cooling properly & maintenance came promptly w/in an hour of my call. My human error on the dial setting! But he was very nice just the same.

I would highly recommend the Beach Club and would be glad to answer any questions if contacted directly.
