The Georgian Manor Resort and Country Club

lots to do in Collingwood, we were in a 2 bdrm townhouse.

Layout is not the best, older design with wasted space. Unit needed a good day of mtce to bring to out expected standards.

Most owners we talked to were not pleased with progress of improvements. indoor pool was closed for mtce in peak season.

We spent a week at Georgian Manor last summer in August/06. Our 1 bdrm condo was very clean and modern, with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom that was very nice after a day of activities. Everything you would need for cooking a meal was provided in the kitchen. They also had outdoor bbq's available for use. The onsite restaurant also had takeout so if you did not feel like cooking or going out that was very handy.

The pool was refreshing and the kids also loved the onsite mini golf. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpfull with requests. Blue Mountain was a short drive away and has a large assortment of restaurants and entertainment.

We own a unit. Note: owners suites are nicer than exchanges. They have a floor that they use only for owners and not for anybody else. These are reasonably nice and they have been recently updated.

All else is ok, it has just seen better days, perhaps in the 1980's. The suites we have stayed in did not have washer/dryers. They did have a full kitchen. As to comfort, it was a 2 to 3 star hotel in the older sections and just over a four star in the nicer owners section. Bring your own pillow if you like a decent one.

The location is good for skiing downhill at Blue Mountain (~10 min drive) or driving in to Collingwood for groceries or dinner (15 minutes). The putting green (during summer) is only for use by those that know how to golf. ie.. not little kids.

I found the staff variable on service, sometimes helpful, sometimes too busy.
