A nice resort with great facilities and activities. We went with two young kids (4 and 7) and they loved the pool and the beach. The beach has fairly large waves, but under constant adult supervision our kids loved it. Make sure and take your body board for surfing! The resort has free movies every afternoon, live shows in the evening, and lots and lots of games during the day. We had a two bedroom which was very comfortable for the four of us, but I think would be tight for the 6 people advertised.

We had a "full kitchen", but the kitchen is really far too small to allow cooking for a family easily. However, you can take advantage of the optional all inclusive package per day, part day, or per week if you wish. Given the unofficial exchange rate, it would be around $25 per day for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner including free unlimited drinks (including cocktails beer and liquor) throughout the day. Kids pay half price, under 5 go for free. The quality and variety was superb. If you need to change money, do so at the little market on the beach. It is safe, and you get double the official rate.

It is hard to get around the island on your own (even though we had a car) because it is very poorly signposted. So, it is more that you stay in the resort and enjoy what it offers (which is a great deal) than going on your own excursions. We did venture though and ate out twice at the nearby town J Grego which was quite good. We also went snorkeling with one of the tours which we and the kids loved.

All in all, it is a great place for those who are relatively happy staying at a resort which offers a great deal. It is of a location for adventurers who like to go explore their destination on their own.

We found the senior suits extremely large with space for 8. The private 1.2 mile beach was spectacular and the private zoo kept the kids busy for days. The food was good but we found the pricing at the market to be excellent and did a lot of our own cooking in the large kitchen. Fresh local fish was cheap. Pools are great and the weather unbeatable. A short ride south is the main 20 mile beach with all the local flair and restaurants. Town is great duty free shopping at the worlds great coture names.

We enjoyed the nightly live entertainment at the Dunes and found it to be relaxing even though there is a lot to do and will return again.

We stayed here in the summer of 2000. This is a good family resort (not luxurious but nice), located on a beautiful beach. Resort has an international flair to it with many tourists from Europe. Good facilities (really nice pools) and the grounds are beautiful tropical gardens. We had a wonderful trip - this is a great place for relaxing and "getting away from the rat race". The food here was just so-so and the resort is not close to restaurants, etc. but we had a rental car so it did not matter to us.

There are many planned activities and nightly live theater performances to be enjoyed.

We enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't mind returning to the Dunes in the future. I hope this review is helpful to you.
