The resort does indeed sit higher up than most, but for my mind the constant breeze was a godsend ! Our apartment was excellent (sleep 6) but we did request a camp bed for my son as we wanted to keep the main room available to all. There was an encased statue between the two bedrooms - very aestetic but that space could be used for other purposes. There were two bathrooms - one en-suite, so no problems there. The ameneties were very good, but lacked somewhat in organised activities for kids. There was a kids club, but it could have been more pro-active. We benefitted from an apartment that looked directly onto the children's pool (105 )- great for access and keeping an eye on the kids without having to move from your patio area !! The pool bar and restaurant were of a good quality, if a bit pricey - don't know how the restaurant makes a profit as it was rarely 1/10 full. Food in there is excellent though. All in all a nice place to stay - though if you don't like aircraft noise stay away (didn't bother me) as it's not far from the beginning of the air strip. This would apply to any resorts on the Golf de Sur. The nearer to the pool areas you are, the less the noise - ring the resort directly and ask for specific requirements a week before if you so need. General ameneties are ok, supermarket pricey as you would expect, and the nearset bars are about 10-15 mins walk(San Blas Commercial centre). Best going to big supermarket about 3kms away if you are doing a 'big shop'.

Worth a try if you haven't been there before - seems to have many returns looking at the customer comments book.

Good luck.

Marshy.

Having stayed at Sunningdale Village on the Golf del Sur this resort was not as luxurious. There were 6 of us, 5 adults and a 12 year old and because of the size of the folding bed in the lounge, described as a double but no where near big enough, we had to request another bed for my son. The bathroom was en- suite to the master bedroom, which made things a bit awkward. The kitchen was well equipped, galley style that opened out onto a small patio and lawn. All of the apartments look out onto central gardens but you cannot access these from your apartment without going out of your front door and walking round via the nearest footpath. The resort is perched on a hill in the middle of the golf course and does tend to suffer from high winds. You will find areas around the pool empty where these winds whip up a turmoil scattering dust.

The restaurant was being refurbished during our stay although we have since been back to eat there. Non-residents however do find it difficult to park as there is only one small area in from of the resort and all of the apartments are only accessible on foot.

There is a good range of facilities, games room, gym, laundry, TV room, guest showers and changing facilities for those waiting for flights. The central bar in the middle of the pool provided good value snacks and entertainment on some evenings. A good resort but there are certainly much better ones on the Gulf that I would try first.
