Miraflores Vacation Club
Reviews of Miraflores Vacation Club
We stayed at Miraflores Vacation Club June 14,2014 for a week thru an exchange with II. We stayed in Rancho Miraflores C Bldg 9, Room 9, (up three flights of stairs on the top floor), we requested a view of the Mediterranean and the view was great from our large patio, the mountain views were also amazing. Reception was hurried and curt, we are seniors (early 70’s) and it would have been nice to feel welcome. The manager called us within the first couple of days to see if everything was fine, a very nice touch. There was a 25 euro charge for electricity which I felt was a little unusual, especially that II mentions that there is no A/C in the unit. Surprise, we located the heating and cooling control on the wall. Yes, we enjoyed air-conditioning for the week. We also paid 25 euro for wi-fi and a 50 euro deposit on the box. Wi-fi worked great. Our unit was a 1 bedroom, 1 bath with step down living area. Kitchen was well stocked and clothes washer was a great addition. Dryer rack was provided for drying outside. There were a couple of pools to service our area. This complex has 1200 condos with 200 timeshares and the rest private owned. Miraflores is very large a climbs up the hill from the Sea. The parking for our condo was sometimes difficult, parking was on a hill with a climb up to our building on a nice path and then the climb to our unit. We learned in Europe that ground floor is 0, second floor is 1 and third floor is 2, therefore our request for a second floor unit, turned into the third floor. You can access the Mediterranean with a walk over bridge over the highway from the complex, a small restaurant is sitting on the water’s edge. A car is recommended due to the distance to reception let alone groceries and sightseeing. The wine is very cheap and good. We were located right in the middle of the Costa de Sol. We traveled with Julia travel thru reception to Gibraltar for a day. Also, visited Ronda in the mountains a must see. The Costa del Sol is comprised of many cities, Malaga, Fuengirola, Estepona, and Marbella to name a few. We drove down to Puerto Banus, the mega yacht marina on the Med., a busy place with shops, restaurants and excellent people watching.
