  • Welcome to Arizona’s Rim Country, a land of diverse rock formations, stunning canyons and lushly forested mountains, where you can truly capture the essence of the Old West lifestyle. Whether your ideal getaway involves horseback riding to ancient petroglyphs, hiking through deserts in bloom or mountain biking rugged trails, you’ll be swept away by the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Straight out of the 1800s, Bison Ranch has all the elements of the Wild West-—planked sidewalks, wagons, teepees, cowboys and, of course, a herd of bison. Reclaim a bygone era. Stake your claim at Bison Ranch today.

I took advantage of a special rate for Bison Ranch. It was $39.95 for a 2 night stay. The apartment slept 6. The masterbed room with a king size bed had a deck off the front of the apartment and a separate bath. The second bedroom had twin beds and the living room had a murphy bed (a bed stored in a wall cabinet) that pulls down. It was a queen size. The couch was comfortable enough that a 7th person could sleep on it. The kitchen was very nicely equiped with a dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, toaster, dishes, etc. The hallway to the bedrooms had a washer n' dryer in a small closet off the hallway.

Everything that a family would need to spend a peaceful stay in the quiet town of Overgaard. Yet, for those who want to play there was a pool and jacuzzi, horses to ride, and a playground for the kids, a pool table and ping pong table, and exercise room.

I think that this is the beginning of my love afair with timeshares. If they are as nice as this one, and the cost not too awfully outrageous, I certainly will be interested in staying in more timeshares.

Very nice accomadations. The only drawback was the 30-45 min drive to the nearest grocery store or shopping center. We took side trips to the Grand Canyon 9 hrs. round trip. We also took in the Dinosaur Park and the Petrified National Forest outside of Holbrook. Canyon De Chelle was also worth the drive but plan on a full day, not just a few hours as the staff had told us. We were there between Christmas and New Years Dec 2002. The jacuzzi was nice, but the pool was not open.
