Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina

We have visited this property over the holiday weeks for the last two years. It is old and is in serious need of maintenance. The air conditioner in our daughter's unit leaked water into the unit the entire 2 weeks we were there, despite repeated calls for service. The beds were old with thin mattresses; there was mold and peeling paint on the ceilings in the bathroom. Our hot water tap handle was missing so the shower water was cold. Housekeeping was pleasant and tried to help. Management moved us to another unit but that hot water handle was also broken off.

We waited an hour and a half while the front desk "looked" for our reservation when we were checking in. The main reception area on the beach side is boarded up (where a bar may have been), tiles are cracked and hotel staff give the impression they are inconvenienced. The guys at the dive shop and the jet ski guy at the marina were great and made our vacation manageable and fun. For such a perfect location , beach and fantastic scenery, management could do a lot more to improve the facilities at this place. The one star is for location.

We just came back & loved it. Units open onto a beautiful beach w/view of several islands. Great snorkelling right outside your door. Restaurants need improving, but only $3.00 by cabo to RedHook which has great restaurants.

Can't wait to go back.

We stayed at this resort for a week and loved it. It's very close to RedHook which has the ferry to St John. St John is beautiful. I would stay here again. The beach is great for there is a living reel to snorkel at your leisure. The service was good and rooms were clean and spacious. The view is beautiful. You can see St John lit up at night. A great side of St Thomas to stay on.

STAYED HERE ONCE AND REALLY ENJOYED IT. LIKE THE UNITS AND THE BEDROOMS WERE UP STAIRS. WOULD GO BACK.
