Isla Mujeres, Mexico, North America 77500
Situated on a private islet on the secluded island of Isla Mujeres, six and a half miles northeast of Cancun, the Avalon Reef Club is truly defined by the beauty, enjoyment, relaxation and romance of being just footsteps from the sea. This unique, all-inclusive resort, accessible only by ferry, is strikingly different from other resorts. More a private island sanctuary than a stereotypical Mexican resort, here the warm trade winds, panoramic vistas, crystalline waters and sugar-white sand beaches produce dramatic a setting that is right out of a fairy tale.
The Avalon Reef Club is ideally suited for singles, couples and families looking to enjoy personalized service, outstanding amenities and total relaxation. However, it is the Reef Clubs incredible location and limitless activities that will truly make you want to return year after year.
* The all-inclusive program at this resort may be available to timeshare guests for an additional fee. Please inquire when renting, buying, or exchanging.

We stayed in one of the waterfront studios and loved the location so much...we bought a one bedroom with a hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean. Very, very nice, we still love it!

Fabulous location, just 15 minutes by boat from NE Cancun for $3.50. We loved it's uniqueness and private island sanctuary so much, we bought into it while visiting the area, recently! It has the rugged Caribbean on one side and warm trade winds, panoramic vistas, crystalline waters which you can walk way out in (great for kids) sugar white sandy beaches and joined by a small wooden bridge for your walk to town, 5 mins away for great shopping and restaurants. We rented a golf cart for an hour one day to tour the island for $15 but you can go by taxi, your feet or scooter once you get off the ferry. Ferry runs all day long to Cancun for nite life or whatever turns your crank. The Avalon offers all inclusive for about $60/day which includes drinks and FREE kayaks and snorkeling equipment, and towels. You'll love it here and want to return all the time as we do. 360 degrees surrounded by water and great views from each suite and walk rt out under the pier and snorkel from the shoreline. No big boat rides necessary.

I must agree with the other review concerning the timeshare presentation. We were promised a golf cart and a free ride on their private luxury yacht to the resort. The private yacht was conveniently in the shop, so we were taken instead by an old scow with rows of hard steel benches . We had to walk from the resort into town to pick up the golf cart (It broke down on the back side of the island). The sales presentation was extremely high pressure. We were passed along through three layers of professional closers and ultimately treated very rudely even though we stated from the beginning that we would take the tour for future reference, but would not be buying that day. Since you go over on their boat you are virtually held hostage until you cave in. The resort appears to be fairly nice, but we would never do business with a company that treats people this way. Very sleazy!

We did not stay at this resort. However,on a visit to Isla Mujures, we did attend a sales presentation there. We were told at dockside that we would be given a free golf cart rental if we only visited the property. This was a very unpleasant and high-pressure sales presentation. When we declined interest in buying after we visited the resort, the representatives were RUDE, disdainful and tacky.(We did NOT get a golf cart). Their attitude alone would keep us a mile away from this place!!
