The accommodations here are good, but not great. The rooms are clean and do the job, but don't expect luxury or an exclusive clientele. Over time, all resorts show minor wear and tear, and this one has, too.

We had a great time - the beach here is good (for Galveston) and very close. The pool is rather small and can become crowded in the summer.

I recommend this place, but with the caveat of managing your expectations.

We have enjoyed staying at Escapes in Galveston. The resort is gorgeous with many extras. It is on the beach of the Gulf of Mexico and is located close to the many adventures available on Galveston Island. It is a great vacation area for the entire family. Be sure to check out the historical sites and well as Moody Gardens and the Strand shopping area. Lots of fun to experience for the entire family!

We had 8 family and friends stay here in a beautifully-decorated 2-bedroom lock-off unit. Everyone enjoyed the entire week although it did rain a few days. Both bedrooms have locking doors for privacy from the living areas. The larger side was our master area - we had so much space that we played games, entertained a few more Houston friends during some days and had a birthday celebration. The large kitchen is humongous so we prepared and served lots and lots of meals and snacks - we saved so much money on food! The beach is very clean, easy to access from the pool, and has a small pocket park close by w outside showers and shade. Just a short drive for groceries and sundries. Houston and many bay cities nearby w plenty of entertainment. Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, miniature golf, antique shopping, water sports, historical properties.

Great views of the Gulf. The resort is new and rooms are splendidly decorated. Lots to do on Galveston Island. Nice beach, lots of good restaurants, and plenty of historical places to visit. Houston is just a short drive away for even more things to do. You can just relax at the beach or keep as busy as you want because there is plenty of sightseeing. I have never seen a resort where the rooms are as well decorated as this one. Great vacation spot!!

I have stayed at this resort twice and is without question a very nice and well run property. I would definitely stay there again, as it is the only resort directly on the beach in Galveston.
