Description
Address:
1380 Route 103
Mount Sunapee, New Hampshire, United States, North America 03255

As a gentle breeze rustles the birch trees scattered across the property, and the water laps the shore at the lake's edge, you take a deep breath of rich mountain air and know you have arrived. Mountain Edge Resort & Spa parallels the surrounding nature of New Hampshire's White Mountains with charming architecture fabulously decorated with gold, rust, brown, and green accents.

This timeshare resort property features one-bedroom studio suites, one-bedroom den suites, two-bedroom loft suites, and penthouse suites. One-bedroom suites offer a king bed in the master bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area (den suites offer a full-size sleeper sofa in the den). Two-bedroom suites offer a king bed in the master bedroom, a king bed and full-size sleeper sofa in the loft, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Penthouse suites offer a king bed in the master bedroom, a king bed and full-size sleeper sofa in the loft, and two queen sleeper sofas in the living area. All suites feature a TV in every room, DVD player, gas fireplace, and kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, induction cook-top, and microwave (penthouse suites are equipped with a full kitchen).

Don your white terrycloth robe and cozy slippers and head into The Spa at Mountain Edge. Soothing music sets the tone for a relaxing afternoon of massages, facials, manicures, pedicures or whatever pampering your heart desires. Before or after your spa experience, enjoy the resort's fitness center, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, as well as the endless exercise pool. The year round pools feature salt water technology which is softer and less drying to the skin, hair, and eyes.

Mountain Edge Resort also offers the Mountain Spirits Tavern where guests can enjoy sunsets on the open air deck, leather couches, and a fieldstone fireplace. Enjoy tavern sandwiches, appetizers, nightly entrée specials, and sumptuous desserts.

Relatively new facility and very close to Mount Sunapee. Units are very oddly laid out, however, and the kitchens are grossly under equipped and bordering on useless (it's obvious that they would much rather have you eating in their restaurant). I stayed here for a few days and certainly enjoyed the skiing, but that had nothing at all to do with this facility. I would not want to own here at ANY price, personally. Yet, the developer sales prices are simply astronomical, which both puzzles and amuses me. Plenty unsold, which does not surprise me. Construction quality is also unimpressive, at best.

I rented a week through redweek.com at a very reasonable price and loved this resort. The rooms were comfortable and the pool was wonderful. However, we had to be careful not to slip on ice on the way to the outdoor hot tub. It was treacherous; a surface that is safer than pavement is needed. Construction of the building seemed a bit shoddy so I wouldn't buy. But I loved the quiet location and facilities.

The concept for this place never got defined. Combine that with misleading marketing and then rediculous pricing, and this place is a disaster. Not sure who financed this, but I'm sure it never reached its goal. Needs better management and a realistic marketing strategy. Not sure if this place will survive.
