« Back to resortSao Vicente is the third smallest of the islands that make up the Cape Verde archipelago but it is home to the countries second largest city, Mindelo.
The island measures 24km from East to West and 16km from North to South. Mindelo is considered the cultural hub of activity and is proud of its rich tradition of music and art. The town retains much of its old charm with cobbled streets and colourful buildings. Most places have live bands which play or violinists entertaining tourists with their traditional Moura music.
Sao Vicente also hosts the annual Baia das Gatas music festival, this three day festival offers sounds of African and Verdean music, as well as jazz, salsa, fado and reggae.
Blu Marine Resort offers condominium style properties on a beach front location in the fishing village of Calhau. The apartments have uninterrupted views over the wonderfully crystal blue ocean. Each one bedroom apartment, to accommodate four guests, is finished to a high standard and all apartments have balconies or patios with patio furniture, bbq area and air conditioning.
Accommodation includes a spacious lounge/dining area with sofa bed and modern soft furnishing and fittings. Partially equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. Double bedroom. Tiled bathroom with shower and bidet. All linens and towels are provided.
The complex offers a rooftop outdoor swimming pool with resistance wave, a restaurant offering both Italian and local cuisine. There is also a recently opened French restaurant, just a short stroll along the beach.
The check in day is usually a Monday but this can be flexible to suit guest travel arrangements.
