These are older buildings but our unit was well maintained. The interior seems like it was just recently updated and in good shape. They had a fairly new pool and jacuzzi which was warm and usually not being used.
Fort Brown Condo Shares is within walking distance of the Mexican border. However, I would recommend a car to visit other places such as Padre Islands, Progresso, and the huge new mall with lots of resturants. The golf course is across the street, which I understand is free if you are an owner. A beautiful university campus and downtown is all within walking distance.
Besides the the pool, I didn't see a lot of things to do with the kids other than visit the beaches at Padre Island. It seemed like the people staying here were older and always on the go.
