Club Sea Oats is a cut above when it comes to timeshare accommodations in Daytona Beach Shores. This resort offers studio, one-, two-, and two-bedroom deluxe timeshare units. All units are equipped with a full kitchen including microwave and dishwasher, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area.
Situated directly on the beach, Club Sea Oats offers 365 days of fun-in-the-sun. Relax in a comfy lounge chair by the beach-front pool, soak in the jacuzzi, or head down to the surf and let your toes sink into the warm Florida sand.
Visitors to the Daytona Beach area have a plethora of activities to choose from. Hop on a charter boat for some deep-sea fishing, learn how to scuba dive, take your turn at parasailing, or just comb the 23 miles of white sand beaches. Race fans should head over to the Daytona International Speedway for some high velocity fun. While there, be sure to stop in at Daytona USA, a one-of-a-kind motorsports attraction.

We traded our efficiency at Ormond Bch for a 2 BdRm at Club Sea Oats. It was very clean and quite spacey. The staff was very friendly, and they had a cookout on Labor Day for the guests. There were TV's in both bedrooms and living area. There were two full baths. Pool area was nice, but could use more loungers when the place was fully occupied. We will probably trade our unit for another stay here again next year.

We visited this resort for the first time in March, 2007. There are many positives to Sea Oats. Since it is a lowrise, the smallish pool was never crowded while we were there, and it was so well heated you could walk right into the water. It was GREAT!
The kitchen area and 'fridge are large enough that you can really cook, which was handy. There were TVs in every room, which was nice for the kids, and the staff was very nice and helpful. They lent us a DVD player, and were always pleasant and eager to please.
The other big PLUS is that this is in Daytona Beach Shores, which is south of the very busy/congested part of Daytona Beach, but close enough that it is easy to access if you want it. The traffic was not bad at all, and it was nice to avoid the crowds, since March was a busy time in Daytona!
Some of the drawbacks? If you book a 2 bedroom be sure to check the sleeping accomodations in advance. There are two different layouts: One has a King/2 double beds and the other has only one bed per bedroom! (and the one bed is only a full!) There is a sleeper sofa, but if your kids don't want to a share bed or sleep on a sofa bed, it could make a huge difference to your comfort if you have more than one child.
Also : the units do not have a real view of the ocean unless you are outside of your room, and one of our bedrooms didn't even have a window! But it is all so close and a short walk that it was fine; but we were a little surprised by the discrepancy, since there was no ocean view from the room we were in. The beach is only steps from every room, and it turned out the room without the window was GREAT for sleeping, so we didn't mind, (but it was odd)....
The owners we met when we were there were lovely people, which was a plus. We had a great time; the negative remarks in this review are so you plan your visit with your eyes open; they are not meant as complaints. We would go back again.

We visited Club Sea Oats a few years back and loved it for our family vacation. The larger 2 BR suite was perfect for 5 of us - nicely decorated and plenty of room. The pool and BBQ area was very clean and had many family oriented activities.
The beach is 2 steps from the pool and a short walk to the Daytona Beach Boardwalk, which has all of the usual arcades, fastfood, etc. The beach area was clean, had easy access to activities such as bike rentals, parasailing and snacks and ice cream stands - yet was not smack in the middle of the crowds.
Most of all, it felt safe - you could relax if your kids ran from the beach to the pool, or back to get something from the room as it was just minutes and you could see them. People are also friendly and helpful at the resort.

Just completed a week at Club Sea Oats. There is no arcade, or exercise room. The space for those items is being used as a sales office.
Everyone was very helpful -- and friendly. Pool on the smallish side, but the short walk to the beach was great after staying at other, much larger resorts.
Point to note: this resort was a motel in its previous life, so the units are a lot different than what I'm used to. Definitely wish I'd gotten the deluxe unit with a king bed, and two doubles plus sleeper sofa versus the deluxe unit with two doubles and sleeper sofa that I got. Also wish the microwave was larger. A bag of popcorn barely fit.

We stayed at this resort the end of April 2003. The resort was great. The welcome BBQ was held at the pool with live entertainment and giveaways. The resort was getting ready to add an excersize room and arcade (website shows that the arcade has been completed). The employees were friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Great family atmosphere. The resort does not have all the luxuries of some of the larger resorts but is quiet and makes a great getaway.
