We have been exchanging our Gold Crown Hawaii TS through RCI to Daytona for many years. This is my wife's favorite place. The close parking, elevator, and oceanfront units won her heart over newer buildings and fancier lobbies.
It is an older resort and small which appeals to us. The crowd is older (with some grand kids around) so that we feel comfortable at the pool and on the beach. All the units are oceanfront, which is the major reason we chose this resort. We love to hear and see the ocean from our bedroom and private balcony.
The downside to this resort is that the main bed is a Queen in most units. There is a murphy bed (and a hidabed) in the living room. Sleeping on a murphy bed is easier and MUCH more comfortable than sleeping on a hidabed. The murphy bed is firm.
Some units have 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. That layout is great. The units with large balconies are fabulous too.
The staff helped us with suggestions and directions for several things to do. We go in January, which is a calm month with good (but sometimes cool) weather. The pool is nice and cleaned every morning. Finding a deck chair at any time of the day has never been a problem. The pool has never been crowded, but that may be different in the summer.

This unit may be a little dated, but otherwise above average. Outstanding ocean view from all units. Clean and all equipment worked well. Will return.

Each unit has an unbeatable view of ocean and it's own nice balcony. A wall of glass w/sliding glass door leads to balcony & faces ocean-no having to leave the room to get a full view of the ocean! During my stay 11/06, they were updating some units. I was in 301 (Studio unit). It had newer couch, livingroom tables & 4 chairs.....A new wall unit of shelves, dining table and a new bed unit that comes down from wall. Couch was sofa sleeper, room had double closet & 1 bath. Kitchen was ample sized with updated appliances and full- sized frig & dish washer. It had everything I needed. Front desk person was helpful for specific area questions....a retired person sits at front desk. Lobby had shelves of reading books & area brochures & free daily newspapers. Pool was cleaned 6 or 7am each morning. Large area around pool for sunbathing or enjoying the ocean waves pounding below. Locked gate entry to beach gives extra security. Nice, quiet location/facility. 1 parking spot per unit so no parking problems. Restaurants nearby with Ponce inlet Lighthouse & restaurant just south. St. Augustine is 55 miles north for excellent day trip......drive A1A north along the ocean to get there and stop at Flagler Beach to get some good shells while enroute. Very enjoyable stay!! I'd rate this place a 3.5.....3.0 seems a little low.

This was our first experience with the "timeshare thing" and we loved it. We are hooked now and are looking for our own unit and week to buy. The unit we stayed in, with relatives, was very nice. There were 5 of us adults sharing one bath but we made do. Small balcony had a wonderful view of the ocean. All in all the unit was clean and comfortable, nice and helpful attendents, good parking, easy access to beach. Will come back.
