Lake Forest Resort and Club

We went the last week of August. The weather was great. The lake is awesome. If you like the water, like us, you will love it here. The resort is kinda private, not super busy. It's off the main highway, so it's quiet. But, it's only 10 miles to Eagle River, which is a cool little resort town. The rooms are 2 floors, kitchen and bathroom downstairs, with a walk out to the patio and to the lake. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and bathroom. The master bdrm has a deck looking over the lake and is large and nice. The second bdrm has 2 twin beds, and is pretty plain. The resort provides lots of accessories like grill, 14' row boat, golf clubs, etc. The Health Club is behind the condos, up on a hill by the golf course. The pool is nice, and has a weight room, sauna, hot tub, bar and sitting area.

But, we came for the lake. The resort is on a small lake, attached to many other larger lakes. Because the lake/channel is narrow in front of the resort, it's protected from high winds. The resort has docks for your use. The lakes and channels allow you to travel all the way into Eagle River and tie up there. There are restaurants, bars, and marinas along the lakes and rivers. The water was busy Sat and Sun with lots of boats traveling the channels. Great people watching. During the week, we skied on a nearby lake with no other boats on the lake and warm, smooth water. Perfect.

Bottom line: We would go back.

It is a beautiful place away from home but has all the amenities of home! The condo'a and pool are kept up very well. Very clean! I wish we were not moving so we could have more play time at Lake Forest!

These resorts are EXCEPTIONAL! They are very clean and well kept, all interior furniture and carpet are replaced on a rotating basis to keep all looking new. They are set up like town houses inside and couldn't be more relaxing with their natural fireplace and glass doors out to lake from both the master bedroom balcony and lower level livingroom. There's wooden paths around the lake that cross over a beautiful bridge. So many ammenities are included, you only need to bring your clothes.
