We stayed here the second week in July, 2004. We had a (roomy) 2 bedroom unit. There were six of us and we were quite comfortable. While this is an older complex, we were very pleased. The screened in porch could not be surpassed by any modern amenities!!! We drank our morning coffee there every morning and breathed in the beauty of the Great Smokey Mountains. It is a long drive up and down that mountain. Use someone else's car if possible.....Your brakes are smoked by the end of the week!! The view is worth it though. As for the resort itself.....the pool is small, the drapes and bed linens could use replacing, and some type of exersize equipment would be nice(there is none). All in all, we would stay here again though.

We stayed in this resort the second week of June in 2003. This is a older unit in much need to redorcorating and remodeling. The sliding glass doors from the living room and master bedroom do have a beautiful overlook from a screen in balcony porch. I'm not sure why the screen, bugs or bears? But is was nice to feel protected from the outside elements. The carpet seemed fairly new, but those standard "Sears" bedspeards that have been around forever...have to go. The draperies are faded and need replacing along with the mismatched dinnerware. The two bathrooms were old style with small fiberglass tubs, they were small baths...but were adequate to meed the need. The pool was out of order the week we were there, but we could have used the hot tub, if you don't mind looking at the dysfunctional swimming pool next to it. Although, if you didn't mind gathering up your swimming things, and then traveling to another resort, you were more than welcome to use their pool. This resort is way, way, way up to mountain. If you plan to use your cell phone while away at this resort, don't count on is being reliable. The signal will fade if you make a single step, or turn the opposite direction. Your option is to pay for each call by using the in unit phone provided. This obviously has not been my favorite resort, but was the only unit available to trade the second week of June in 2003.

If you don't mind the 10 min. drive to downtown, it is a wonderful place to stay. Very peaceful and the screened in deck was the perfect place to chill after the rat race downtown.

Very nice, quiet resort. After the hubbub of downtown, I truly enjoyed getting back to my mountain retreat. The screened balcony put me right in the middle of the forest. Very peaceful!
