Browse resorts in California » FAQ: How do Provisional Exchange Weeks Work?When looking to do an exchange, all weeks posted on RedWeek.com with a points value are available immediately for booking. Provisional weeks, on the other hand, are not yet available. If you're interested in one of these weeks, just sign up for notification and we'll send you an e-mail as soon as it's available. If you are considering depositing your week, be aware that a provisional listing is NOT a deposit. When you submit a valuation request, we will send an exchange points offer giving you the ability to deposit your week. The offer will expire in seven days whether or not you've listed your week provisionally (i.e. checked the box saying you are willing to deposit your week once you see something suitable). If you decide to deposit later, even if it's listed as provisional, you'll have to do a new valuation request and get an updated offer. Points offers typically decrease as the check-in date nears, so deposit early for the best value. RedWeek's basic search function is perfect for general searches by resort name or location. But if you know exactly where you want to go, and when, the Advanced Search feature should be your tool of choice. With the Advanced Search, you can narrow your search parameters by date, rental, resale, or exchange, number of bedrooms, and number sleeps. You should also know that location searches can be as narrow as "Daytona Beach", or as broad as "Florida". Want to access RedWeek's Posting Policy, pricing information, or FAQ, but don't know where to look? Use the Google search engine on the right side of our home page. Owners - Update Your Postings to Attract BuyersIf you haven't added the new unit view and season info to your postings yet, you could be missing potential buyers. Once these details are added to your postings, they'll also appear on the line item that advertises your offer on your resort's main page. That means buyers will be able to easily find the view or season type they are looking for. Don't be left out of your buyer's comparison! Update your postings now. Unit's view is available for rentals and resales -- season only available for resales. |
