RedWeek.com Newsletter - February 2012

Traveling and eating out go hand-in-hand, and are tough on the waistline. But there are ways to travel that won't affect your New Year's resolution to drop a few pounds. Here are a few tips:

A 30 minute walk on the treadmill in the resort fitness center balances out the cheeseburger you had for lunch
A meal made in your in-suite kitchen is a healthier alternative to eating out
Travel to destinations with lots of outdoor activities: skiing in Colorado, hiking in Arizona, or kayaking in Hawaii

Ask the Timeshare Crusader

Lisa Ann Schrier Our "Ask the Timeshare Crusader" series continues this month with a question from Odin:

I recently received a letter from the president of RCI warning me against attending an "RCI Update" meeting in my area. Apparently these meetings are not sanctioned by RCI, but are a scam. Have you heard about this?

This issue was brought to my attention last week by the Florida Timeshare Owners Group, and is quite scary in my opinion… Read Lisa's full answer »

Member Review:

"The unit was extremely clean and modern. The kitchen was great for a quiet meal in after a day of skiing. The indoor pool area was impressive to say the least. Floor-to-ceiling wood paneling gave it a cozy feel; the pool was nice and warm, and the Jacuzzi was just the ticket for sore muscles. The adjoining clubhouse area was the gathering place for the resort's nightly après ski gathering where appetizers and beverages were served."
