Spend New Year's 2021 at beautiful Hyatt Highlands Inn in Carmel, California. This is an oceanview unit with an oversized balcony - one of the best units in the complex. Your view is of the Pacific Ocean and Point Lobos State Park. It is not unusual to hear sea lions or see a whale through the binoculars, and sunset is always spectacular! It would be easy to social distance in this unit. Unit includes a fireplace with an unlimited supply of wood, a large jacuzzi tub and separate shower unit, a separate living room area, and a full sized kitchen. Laundry facilities are also available. The unit also has easy access as there are no stairs like many of the units have. There is an outdoor hot tub just outside and below the unit. In addition, there are several outdoor fire pits, a gym, and a swimming pool. At the main lodge there are bicycle rentals, two restaurants, a bar, a gift shop, and a large sitting area with fireplaces. The lodge is also an outstanding place to watch the sunset or look through a telescope at the Pacific Ocean. There are other activities such as hikes, wine tasting, etc. Lastly, the Hyatt has an annual New Year's celebration with live music (not guaranteed due to Covid 19 issues this year) and the option to have a gourmet dinner in Pacific's Edge restaurant perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The surrounding area has lots to do as well such as the Monterey Aquarium, a drive along Big Sur, shopping in Carmel by the Sea, and First Night Monterey.

COVID-19 Alert: California is at different phases of re-opening which vary by county. Indoor dining, bars, museums, and theaters are closed, and masks are required state-wide. Services and amenities may be limited.
