The Hotel Galileo in Slovakia is situated right in the centre of the compact Donovaly Ski resort in the western Tetra Mountains. The resort is a great location for holidays in both winter and summer with a huge variety of activities on offer. Go for relaxing walks or more strenuous mountain hikes, cycle hire is readily available with an abundance of cycle trails for every level of ability. The more adventurous can have a go at paragliding or experience the toboggan run, which is open all year round. Based in the centre of Donovaly village there are many restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance from the Hotel.

In the winter the resort is the ideal ski destination with a long season and generally good snow conditions. All the runs are managed and given additional snow if required. The ski lifts are all within walking distance from the Hotel with access to 17 different runs suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers. Ski schools are available for absolute beginners and those wanting to develop their technique. There are also some great cross country ski routes, snowboarding facilities and regular night skiing events.
