Marriott's Expansion Plans Opposed

From TimeSharing Today, June 2011

Marriott's Harbor Lake resort is confronting opposition to the company's plans to build additional units at its Lake Willis resort near Orlando, FL.

Crews have cleared out land to make room for the project that Marriott is trying to get off the ground, but residents said they are working on letters that they plan to take to a meeting of the zoning board that's been set up with Marriott.

The buildings on the property now are about 75 feet or six stories. The new building would be triple that size, at 250 feet high and 22 stories. County zoning officials told WFTV, a local TV channel, that they don't have a problem with the plans, but hopes Marriott will consider downsizing to at least 200 feet.
