Top 3 Timeshare Resort Pools Top 3 Timeshare Resort Pools Newsletter - March 2011

With the help of our members and staff, we've identified the biggest… the best… the most awesome timeshare resort pools out there. Actually, these are more than just pools, these are works of art; engineering masterpieces that take you up into the heavens and then drop you back to earth with a splash so spectacular, it can be seen from space (or maybe the balcony of your room).

Next month we'll list the Top 3 resort spas so if you have a favorite, let us know!

Disney's Beach Club Villas

Disney's Beach Club Villas

First on the list is Stormalong Bay, a three acre beachside water park available to guests at Disney's Beach Club Villas, Lake Buena Vista, FL. Offering 750,000 gallons of aquatic fun, this gigantic water park features an amazing waterslide accessed only by climbing the mast of a shipwrecked boat. You will also find an expansive sand-bottomed pool, lazy river, and even a Guppy Bay kiddie pool for the youngest of guests. Rentals start at $176/night. Ask the Timeshare Crusader

Our "Ask the Timeshare Crusader" series continues this month with the following question from Brooke:

I am an owner at Pelican Resort Club which closed its doors on Feb. 20. According to their website, they are still requiring that we pay our 2011 maintenance fees to "stay in good standing" with the new resort owners. I am VERY reluctant to pay any more money to the resort, and would appreciate your advice on the matter.

Lisa Ann Schrier

An excellent question and let me add that I, along with other industry professionals, feel badly about the situation that you and other owners find themselves in. I trust that you are keeping abreast of the current situation through various sources…

Ron Jon Cape Caribe

Marriott's Kauai Beach Club
Lihue, Hawaii

While the pool at this resort didn't make our Top 3 list, it definitely deserves a nod, if only for its beautiful flower shape — a 26,000 square foot flower that is. Other on-site amenities include a children's pool, spa, fitness center, and two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus.

The resort also offers a variety of culinary delights at any of their five restaurants. Dukes is a favorite among guests, with amazing seafood entrées

Starting at $136/night

Resale Opportunities:
Starting at $3,125

Member Review:

"My husband and I have 3 teenagers and this was their first trip to Kauai. They loved it. We didn't get to a lot of the island activities because we were having fun on the property in the pool or on the beach. There is plenty to do without ever leaving the resort. Have fun!"
