Top 25 Resorts Spotlight – The Best of Hawaii (Part Two)

published on February 17, 2014 by

Last week, we introduced you to RedWeek members’ four favorite Hawaiian resorts. With a total of eight resorts in our Top 25 representing Hawaii, we decided to tackle the other half in today’s post. Let’s continue where we left off with our fifth-ranking Hawaiian resort…

Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club – Lahaina Villas

Last week we explored the main building of Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club. However, the more recently-added Lahaina Villas are nearly as popular as their parent resort. The Lahaina Villas borrow from the spirit of the original Ocean Club while also embracing a brighter, breezier decor and adding in full-scale kitchens to the units. Best of all, guests to the Villas retain access to all of the enticing amenities offered at Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club.

Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club

Resting against the sands of Poipu Beach, Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club encompasses the splendor of Kauai. The resort itself is nestled amongst of waterfalls and lagoons and lush, tropical plant life – and the beach is right outside the door. The Beach Club has no shortages of activities either; you can choose to explore all the attractions Kauai has to offer, or indulge in all that can be done right on-site. With pools, a restaurant, marketplace cafe, fitness center and private lanais in every unit, that’s quite a tempting thought.

Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club – Napili Villas

Sister resort to the enthusiastically-recieved Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club – Lahaina Villas, the Napili Villas offers even more of the roomier, kitchen-included villas that owners have come to adore. Just like Lahaina’s guests, those staying in the Napili Villas have full access to all of the Ocean Club’s amenities.

Kaanapali Beach Club

Kaanapali Beach Club always ranks high on our Top 25 lists, and for good reason. While it’s not attached to any of the big-name resort developers, that doesn’t stop Kaanapali Beach Club from being a perennial favorite amongst our members. Between a fantastic location right on the beach and gorgeously furnished rooms that capture the essence of Hawaii, Kaanapali Beach Club holds its own against even the biggest resorts year after year.

Next week, we’ll be looking into the resorts that represent Florida on our Top 25 list, including this year’s first place pick!
