Top 5 Things to Do in July 2014

July is the month we celebrate our nation’s independence. There are several other fun July events going on around the United States. On your next timeshare rental check out one of these fun events:

1. Boston Harborfest (July 2-6): This five-day long Fourth of July Festival features the colonial and maritime heritage of the American Revolution in historic Boston. There are more than 200 daily events during the festival in downtown historic Boston and the waterfront districts including reenactments, concerts, tours, and even a Chowderfest.

2. San Diego Symphony’s Summer Pops Concerts (July 4 – Labor Day): If you are in the San Diego area head on over to Embarcadero Marina Park South along the San Diego Bay for 10 weeks of concerts featuring the San Diego Symphony (pictured). Special singing guests join in with the symphony and there’s even a concert/screening of Disney’s Fantasia.

3. North Carolina, Spruce Pine BBQ Championship & Bluegrass Festival (July 18-19): If you’ve never been to a BBQ competition don’t miss this one. From a wings contest to public tastings and a cornhole tournament there is something here for the whole family. Enjoy bluegrass music, clogging team events, crafts, and there’s even a 5K fun run.

4. Nashville Gala of The Royal Horses (July 19): If you haven’t heard the news, for the first time ever riding Master Rene Gasser is bringing his world-renowned equestrian tour to North America. One of the stops will be in Nashiville, TN. The Gala of The Royal Horses will feature a number of performances involving the Andalusian, Friesian, Lipizzaner and Arabian breeds.

5. Colorado Grand Mesa Moose Day (July 26): Literally pack a picnic for this event, plop your family down and from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm be dazzled by moose. Their size, their attitudes, and their habits will be on display and you’ll even learn about moose biology. This is the closest most people will get to moose in their entire life. And the best part is this family-friendly event is free.
