Halloween Timeshare Vacation – Something for Everyone

published on October 31, 2012 by

The celebrating of this unique holiday called Halloween must run the gamut from little toddlers through teens and adults. Thankfully, a timeshare vacation can help you cover the bases. Here are two suggestions:

1. Legoland Florida. Here youngsters and the young-at-heart can enjoy Halloween to its fun fullest. This theme park is hosting its first-ever Halloween event in 2012, dubbing it “Brick-or-Treat”.

Halloween activities at the recently-opened park include trick-or-treating, costume contests and a competition to build the best Halloween-style Lego model. An enormous Lego Jack-O-Lantern (see top photo) is installed at the park throughout the celebrations.

The park’s signature attraction, Miniland USA, has a Halloween overlay during the events. Guests at Legoland Florida will be challenged to search for goblins, ghosts and other scary beings hidden among the area’s Lego recreations of famous landscapes from the Las Vegas Strip to the skylines of New York.

Legoland Florida opened to the public in October 2011, with a water park debuting in May 2012. The park is aimed at families with children aged 2-12, with its line-up including roller coasters, water slides and “edu-tainment” rides such as the popular Driving School.

2. Haunted New Orleans, LA. Teens and adults will want to head to “the most haunted city in the United States.” And New Orleans definitely lives up to its frightening reputation, with voodoo shops, museums and wicked tales of Marie Laveau, the “Queen of Voodoo.”

But the spooky adventures don’t end there. Come face to face with the paranormal on one of the many ghost and cemetery tours, or step into Anne Rice’s world of vampires and demons in the French Quarter.

The Louisiana Area Vampire Association, among other vampire organizations, holds wickedly wonderful vampire balls during Halloween. And the annual Voodoo Music Festival, held in City Park, attracts well-known performers.

Mortuary Haunted House on Canal Street is where to go if you really want to be scared out of your wits. Realistic and gory special effects, along with frighteningly talented actors, combine to make this one of the most popular Halloween haunted houses in New Orleans. But there’s a twist. This used to be a real mortuary.
