Support for Ukraine

published on March 7, 2022 by

The news from Eastern Europe is gravely upsetting for us as we witness the numerous atrocities resulting from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Our hearts are with the Ukrainian people, and we hope for a peaceful end to the conflict as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we would like to invite our community members to join us in supporting the people of Ukraine in any way possible. Below, learn about a few organizations that are doing wonderful and necessary work to help the families affected by the war:

CARE.org

CARE is an international humanitarian group providing food, water and other items to families fleeing violence in Ukraine. If you would like to send your support, make a donation here.

Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders has medical staffers currently remaining in Ukraine and are seeking ways to respond to the medical and humanitarian needs as the conflict evolves. Offer your support here.

International Committee of the Red Cross

The Switzerland-based organization is supporting the work of the Ukrainian Red Cross in helping those impacted by the war. Donate to the ICRC here.

International Rescue Committee

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has teams already on the ground in Poland providing vital support to people forced to flee their homes. Make an emergency donation here.

UNICEF

As Ukraine declared a nationwide state of emergency, UNICEF has been working nonstop in eastern Ukraine, delivering lifesaving programs for affected children and families. Make a donation here.

Host A Sister

We would also like to inform our timeshare owners of a private Facebook group called Host A Sister, with Europe-based administrators offering housing, evacuation assistance, and resources for Ukrainians. If any owners of European weeks feel called to offer tangible support during this time, Host A Sister might be an effective way to donate your timeshare weeks to women and children refugees in need of temporary shelter.

For the rest of us, let’s remember to spend extra time with our families during this mournful time and continue to show support when and where we can.

Take good care of yourselves.

You should add Sumaritans Purse. They already have a hospital set up in the Ukraine and medical help for the refugees. They are incredible. Susan
