Once they reported the situation (lawsuit/fraud) to the credit bureau their negative rating was reversed or so they said. Whether this is true or not, don't know...I guess you could check with the credit bureaus first, let them know about the suit/fraud/that you want to stop paying under the circumstances-that you were defrauded and have the NYAG's suit as proof, and they could tell you up front, what you might face?
