Re: Tips on relatively inexpensive restaurants?

I know that this is probably too late to help you, but maybe someone else who needs the same info will read this. There are numerous places to eat in San Lucas which are good, inexpensive and within walking distance of Pueblo. Out favorite is El Coral - an open patio with great all you can eat ribs for around $14, an amazing Seafood platter for two for $32 dollars which includes: sea bass, shrimp, crab, lobstr, calimari and more. The owner Roberto is very attentive and friendly as is all staff. What a good steak or sea food? Walk to The Sotplight (real close to the Pubelo side of town) Prices range from $9 - $15 . Good size menu. Really on a budget? Hit the Plaza de los Mariachies (Sorry for the spelling). It is located right across the street from the Gigglin Marlin. For $4 you can get great baked potatoes stuffed with cheese and beef or chicken or pork. They also have beer and taco specials which start at around $5. Also hit Tonga Tonga (on the main drag after the curve) They have great Jalepano Poppers, cheeseburgers, and more for only $3-$4! Beers are only $1.50 and they also have cheap mixed drinks. Want a real fast meal, or something to take back to the beach? HIt the City Club Store, only a short walk away! It's just like Costco... you can get $1.50 hotdogs and drinks, or $3 pizza, etc. Most of the time we walk right into the food-court area with no problem. You may get stopped though and asked for a membership card, which you can purchase for the day for only $1.
