French Lick Springs Villas Review

As Heathererm133 suggested, the units are great--they're the best I have ever been in since our 1986 inauguration of time share ownerships. (My unit in Spain --which I mostly use to trade--on the Costa Del Sol is second best). In some ways, the luxuriousness of the units is necessary. The village of French Lick was a sleepy small town, although now there is a spanking new casino with several nice restaurants. Nearby is a very large state park and the area borders on a huge National Forest (which allows some development). The adjacent hotel is recently restored close to its hey-day splendor, and it offers many amenities such as spa, pool, occasional fabulous jazz concerts, mystery nights, other shows. It also owns a large tennis center and a designer golf course. We own in my Spring Break week and like the quiet and the Nature walks and hikes and occasional golf game or tennis set. In summer the area bustles a little bit, but it's not like Orlando or Costa del Sol or other "cool" destination spots. In fact, it's not far from a large Amish community. So, if the quieter life is your desire for a week or so--except Kentuck Derby Week (FL is only 90 minutes from Churchill Downs)--consider this resort.
