Re: What is there to do at or near the Surf Club?

Ditto Eddie on his suggestions. DePalm Island has a new water park, and my 11 year old loves SNUBA (I did too). At that age, they may be able to ride/drive on the Quad Tour of the Island. They can also go deep sea fishing. More stuff... Parasailing Wave running Sail Boarding I heard the legal drinking age is 16/gambling is 18. At the Black Hog Saloon, there are midget racing cars, batting cages, Pee Wee golf (lousy). At Champions Bar (Marriott Ocean Club), there is lots of sports stuff, and billiards. There is also lots of Kareoke on the island. Movie Theaters Bowling Exploring Caves (Bats) - Other side of island Snorkeling Sail Scuba Diving Lots of Game Rooms at the Marriott Ping Pong/Beach Volleyball at Marriott There are so many kids in their age group, I doubt it will be a problem for them to find something to do. Remember, because of the lower drinking and gambling ages, it is a pretty popular spot for that age group. Although I don't recommend it, there was always my favorite as a kid...looking for trouble. I recommend you keep an eye on them! I'm no spring chicken, and I've been offered drugs on the street walking between jewelry stores (probably 10 years ago). Other good suggestions that some kids like is eating at: Hooters Benihana Cuba's Cookin (Downtown) Tony Roma's Moomba Beach Iguana Joe's Mambo Jambo(Downtown) La Fondue (Downtown) For big eaters...El Gaucho always gets a double thumbs up.
